Reviews of Lowe's Home Improvement
"This Lowe’s Home Improvement store located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a good store with fair prices."
"Since Lowe's has refused to take any responsibility for the damage our home has received from a washing machine we bought from them despite repeated attempts at us trying to file claims and rectify the situation, I'm also writing a review after my husband has already written one. We've been long time Lowe's customers and spent tens of thousands of dollars with them over the years. We purchased a Whirlpool washing machine back in July from the store in Myrtle Beach on Seaboard St. It was delivered days later by a crew that looked like they had never delivered appliances before. When we loaded the first load and it started the drum completely fell out of the washer and began to spin the motor on our floor. It RIPPED a hole in our wood floor before we were able to get in and turn the machine off. At this point we contacted the local store at Seaboard. We ended up going to speak with someone there. They then told us that the washer actually came from the "warehouse location" and we would have to go through them for any claim information and returns. After going round and round with the delivery location and trying to submit a claim they told us it wasn't their fault and we needed to go back to the store. So we went back to the store where they told us we would have to take it up with the manufacturer because that's where the defect was. So we got in touch with Whirlpool and filed a claim only to be told that they can't process a claim without the damaged part even though the washer was picked back up by the delivery location after the damage was done. My husband then wrote a Google review about the experience and someone from Lowe's said to please contact them. It turns out the number was the generic customer service number who knew nothing about our situation and proceeded to transfer us to multiple people. All to come to the solution from Lowe's that we needed to contact the manufacturer because it STILL ISN'T THEIR FAULT. They REFUSE to take any responsibility in the situation. All this to say, we're out of months of time, we have almost $2000 of damage to our floor that we can't get anyone to take any responsibility for, and we are BEYOND frustrated. We've always enjoyed shopping at Lowe's but this is the moment that has made it so we will NEVER, EVER spend money with them again. Be careful ordering from the store if it has to be delivered. No one will take responsibility if something goes wrong and you'll be out of luck like we are. It would be nice to hear from someone at corporate who actually cares about rectifying a situation from a customer as opposed to trying to make it seem to the internet like they actually care."
"Edit: So Lowe’s asked me to reach out to them because they wanted to make sure I was taken care of. The number I called was the general customer service number. Once I finally got someone and explained the whole story they told me that I would have to file a manufacturer claim even though I already told them I had done that. So ONCE AGAIN Lowe’s is still doing nothing to make this right. Just a post on my review to make other people think they’re making it right. I will say it again, DO NOT shop there. You can see the photos of the damage to our floor and how it shredded the wood. Original Post: Honestly, I didn't want to write this review but I've run out of other options. "Good and friendly people working at this Low’s in Myrtle Beach. The prices are reasonable and wait time at cashier area was good."
"Great store with just about anything you need. Comparable prices. The only bad thing was there were employees all over but they either acted like they couldn't help you or didn't know where things were. We were lucky to find 1 female to help us. The cashier chip was friendly."
