"The food is fine dining quality in a hometown bar. Collards are FABULOUS! They start off savory and then the heat builds in the back of your mouth...not too much heat to over power the taste. Red beans are a meal in themselves and could hold their own as a main dish. My husband had the burger plate with sweet potato fries and loved every bite Looking forward to trying the pork chops the next time we visit. Staff is genuinely friendly. Highly recommend you give them a try."
"What a surprise! Bar food? No way! The menu here is impressive and the food surpasses expectations! Authentic Cajun flavors and the muffuletta sandwich took me back to New Orleans! I have returned twice since!"
"Sat at the bar, Great service from the bartender! Food was great and fresh. I got the boudin balls, beignets, and a flat bread pizza. Definitely recommend. Also, the Bloody Mary was delicious and the Jose with some pineapple juice."
"New to the area.. I asked FB for a good smothered pork chop with dark gravy and onions and this was recommended. Not sure what they use to out here... but coming from Tennessee, Georgia, & Texas.. I wasn't expecting this experience, especially after all the good reviews I'd seen. Service was decent, wasn't offered silverware but hostess was nice. The sweet tea was NOT sweet.. tasted like they added some lil sugar free packets or something. I order the pork chops, green beans& carrots, and mashed potatoes. The pork chops are huge and salty like they bathe it in salt before serving and was tough (maybe if I was smaller they wouldn't have to cook it so long), the sauce on the pork chops (mushrooms and onions) was cooked perfectly and went well with the salty chop, the green beans tasked watered down but were cooked well. The mashed potatoes were really creamy and smooth, would recommend those. Had to eat each bite of pork chop with something with no flavor to balance in out and drink the watered down tea because of all the salt. Husband had the Cajun chicken pasta w/ broccoli, his food was cooked well but still had little flavor. We also had the deviled eggs. The fried one and the bacon one were the only ones that had some real flavor. The vibe in the spot feels all over the place to me. I wouldn't be back but it wasn't terrible, just didn't take me to flavor town & for 60 bucks it was not worth it to me. Maybe I'll try something else later to go at a later date but no time soon."
