"This place was recommended to me from one of my close friends. When I tell you, she told me the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Okay, so the look of the building in and out is differently nothing fancy, but the food overrides all of that. Now I can say the Kool-Aid is too sweet for my liking, but that's coming from someone who drinks zero sugar drinks and water daily. My food was really delicious, served hot, and was not over seasoned. I ordered the fried pork chop plate with mac and cheese and yams. My pork chops could have looked more appealing as far as the breading goes. But that still didn't take away from the taste. Oh, and the corn bread... I love the corn bread, getting 2 pieces next time! Service was good they were helpful and polite. I highly recommend this place for a go-to soul food spot. I plan on returning to try breakfast as well."

"We were greeted upon entering. Our waiter was energetic. Food is delicious!!!!! I would've like onions on my smothered pork jobs but it was good. I didn't care for the flavor of the cabbage but the rice and gravy and the corn(cake) lol I'm saying cake cause it tasted like cake, sweet, moist, delicious. His yams and potato salad were delicious. His ham hock was falling off the bone. Will be back and would recommend!"

"The soul food at this restaurant is amazing. Everything on the menu is good and you get large portions. We were waited on very quickly and the food came out hot and delicious. I had smothered pork chops, cabbage, corn bread and sweet potatoes cake. I also ordered an Arnold Palmer drink which was the best I ever had and taste unlike any I've ever had. This is my second time going and I will definitely be back."
