"Love Cato, but be careful some of the products are cheap quality, when washed they mess up. Always save your receipt and tags. Overall the prices are good."
"Do not buy their clip-on earrings as most of them are defective. Either they were breaking your hand as you're putting them on or one earring will stay on while the other one will drop. If you do not have the posting card that came with the earrings you cannot get your refund. Cato's would go into bankruptcy if they refund Or exchange merchandise for $6.99."
"Poor customer service. I was asked upon entering the store, "What brings you here?", which was a weird greeting. Then after browsing for 10 minutes, I tried on a jacket. Their associate approached me saying due to COVID trying on clothes wasn't allowed. She rushed away to get a pair of gloves. She put on the gloves and took the merchandise due to their COVID protocols. She assumed I didn't want the item, never asked if I intended to buy it. She was so focused on the precautions and not the actual sale. I had two other items I planned to purchase as well, but I was frustrated and left without anything. The associate was not rude, but she was too considered about preparing the jacket to be returned to the floor and not the sale. This was my first shopping experience since NC has lifted some COVID restrictions and this experience did not meet my needs or expectations. Put some signs up about your COVID rules. No one wants to be called out or embarrassed while shopping."
"Put in an application online for a keyholder position. The manager, Felicia, calls and asks me if I live in the area and what position I am looking for. She told me that she received my resume online. Then she proceeds to ask me what retail experience I have, and I say "on my resume, from Gymboree, I was a sales lead." She asks me a few more questions and then asks when I can come in for an interview. I give her my availability and then ask if she can give me some information about the position I would be interviewing for (hours, job description, pay rate) and she says she can't give that information just upon scheduling an interview and I should know since I am the one who applied. I ask her since she got my application but didn't seem too clear, I am just trying to clarify. She continues to be rude to me (saying "i thought you were interested since you applied" and I said "yes, I applied. Do you have the position I applied for? and she says no, she only got my resume) and then says "you know what? I think we are just going to pass on this." I tell her that there is no reason for her to be rude since she is the one who called me and she says goodbye. I will be calling her back and asking for corporate's number. This is not how you treat people who apply to your establishment and YOU call for an interview. I don't know what Felicia's problem is, but it will be getting addressed."
"The delivery process is very speedy. I love ordering online because it's vey convenient for me. It takes about 3 days and it's about 10mins from my home to travel. That's a plus due to high traffic volume. I love the clearance section. Large variety. Thanks Catos!"
