"I used to love this place, but the last 5 times I have gone, the chicken is overcooked and dry. Tonight, we actually just threw it out. The sides were good. The Brunswick stew is great. I'm not sure what happened to the chicken. For a while, they had super small chicken breast. That improved, but now it is cooked to death. There are other options there to eat, though."
"I’ve honestly never been disappointed with this Smokehouse location. The food is always great and worth the wait tbh. They have multiple sauces on the table for you to choose from, which I love! The atmosphere is great as well. I absolutely love that they have an area for you to put up a prayer request if you so choose to participate of course. What I really love about The Smokehouse is that they have great prices. We had the BBQ sandwich value meal and the brisket sandwich meal (they both come with a side) and a peach cobbler for only $27! If you’re looking for great BBQ at a decent price check out Smokehouse! They have locations at Money Junction, Leland and Southport. Hey…. Stop reading and just go check’em out!"
"My guest and I each ordered pulled pork plate w/2 sides: Brunswick stew (fantastic/savory), baked beans (just ok), collards (unseasoned with stalk, just ok), green beans (just okay). Pulled pork tender and moist, tasty... and the meat is what I came for. Will go back to try the brisket and ribs."
"Holy smokes! The brisket is amazing. It has the best smoke and it is incredibly juicy. It doesn't need any sauce but I recommend tasting each one available. My personal favorite was the tangy sauce. The Buffalo chips are a great side with a subtle spice. The ranch tasted homemade and its a prefect compliment to the seasoning. I usually don't get hush puppies but they are so so great. The sweetness balances the flavor of the meat. I can't say enough about the niceness of the staff. They were all great. 2 thumbs up wish I could give more stars"
"I'll start by saying we will see you good folks again. The food is good for sure. This trip I had 2/4 rack of ribs and 1/2 chicken. The ribs were good by themselves and didn't have to add any of the 7 sauces they offer. We plan to go back and try different meats and more of the different sauces. My suggestion for you if going for the first time is this. Get the little plastic cups they offer and put each flavor of the sauces in each cup. That way you can try and make your meal best for you by sampling the different sauces with your meats. I got potato salad and collard greens both were awesome and tasted like something your mother would have made. The collards did Not have sugar in them as that is a common theme in the south, to add sugar to collards. Banana pudding and apple cobbler were both excellent. See yah again. Give a thumbs up if this review helped you out. Happy Eating."
