"Rent-a-center is by fr the best rental company I've ever used."
"The staff is helpful and wonderful."
"Absolutely horrible customer service. I am recovering from major surgery and cannot sleep in my bed, so I rented a recliner approximately three weeks ago. I called on Monday, at 10 am to see if I can get a different recliner since the one I have is no longer comfortable for me. The woman who I spoke with told me she would call me back a bit later. I didn’t hear back, so at 3 pm, I called again and was told that she was busy and she would call me back. I never heard back. I then called again Tuesday at 10 am and I explained what happened on Monday, and what I was looking for and I was told by someone else that I would get a call back. Again, I never received a call. I then called a different location, hoping to deal with a different store and was told I had to deal with the original location. After explaining what happened and how upset I was that nobody would get back to me. I was given the number to customer service and was told to ask for a district manager. I called customer service and explained what happened and asked for a district manager. I was told I’d have a call back within 48 hours. After explaining again that I’ve been waiting for a callback for two days, the person in customer service put me on hold and called the store. She came back to the phone and told me that she had someone at the store that could help me and she transferred me. The person she transferred me to was the same person who told me she would call me back that morning. Upon telling her that it wasn’t right to keep telling me she would call me back, she told me she thought she had a different recliner for me and she promised she’d call me back in 5 minutes. Four hours later, after again not receiving a call back, I called the store again and explained to another person what had transpired over the past two days, and how upset I was. This person told me she thought she had a good recliner option for me and that she had to double check on it. Her last words to me were, “Don’t worry, I’m definitely going to call you back. You have nothing to worry about.” That was yesterday at 5:50 pm. I’ve never once received a call back. I am in customer service and I would never treat a customer this way. You should be ashamed of the people you employ and how they treat your customers."
"The whole process was done so 100% through text messages, as I was extremely busy at the time but still in dire need to get my account set forth. Jeremy was a big help and was very patient with me and my slow response time."
