"Adele! Thank you for helping my sweet niece. My niece is 13 years old and admitted to me that she doesn’t like shopping, but needed clothes. We walked into American Eagle and were approached almost immediately by a young lady offering assistance. I let her know that my niece and I were a little apprehensive about clothes shopping. Adele immediately went into action and asked if we knew what we were looking for. We told her jeans. That’s all we had to say. It means the world to me (but mostly to my niece) that Adele communicated with my niece to determine her style and Interest. Adele wanted to help her. Simple as that. Adele helped her to choose the jeans, to match outfits and even made some suggestions that my niece hadn’t considered. On the way home my niece told me that she was thankful that Adele helped her and that she loves all the clothes she got. My niece stated that she loves fashion but doesn’t feel like she is good at matching outfits for example. She said that because Adele helped her it made her feel more comfortable in deciding what to get. Thank you Adele ! Best customer service I’ve ever received or witnessed."
"Tall blonde cashier was very rude and disrespectful. Asked another employee her name and he told me he was the manager and was as rude as she was. Not typical treatment from American Eagle staff. Spend hundreds and hundred at this business. Will try my best to never shop at this one again. Searching for district management contact information!"
"This is the worst place to ever shop, the reason I say this is because I purchased two pairs of pants and one hoodie totaling $176.45, long story short pants didn't fit I take them back to get a gift card with the original receipt and they only give me $93 back. I called the store and they admitted they made a mistake and owe me $52.93 but I would have to call corporate. So I do so and explain the situation they had to investigate which they did and I spoke to another customer service and she responded with we are sorry we are sending you a eGift card you will receive by Monday. I never received it. I called back and was told by another person I am sending it now you should receive by Wednesday and again haven't received it. I have had to send a copy of my license, a video to prove who I was, pictures of receipt, and speak to five people and still nothing. Now they want me to do it all over again to get my money back. please stay away from this company, they are a cheat and they take from others, and they lie about everything. Not a good company at all by far. Stay away beware they will take you for what you got."
"HORRIBLE customer service! Last week, I noticed some of the items I had recently purchased went on sale. I went back to AE and spoke with a guy behind the counter with dark hair. He refused to give a price adjustment. He had a bad attitude and said I could return items but wouldn’t be able to buy them back because “I would be trying to save money.” Well, that’s exactly what I’m trying to do. I asked for the corporate number, and without looking up from his phone said hatefully, “You can Google it!” I asked him his name and he said, “I’m not giving that to you!” It was obvious he was trying hard to impress the other employees by being a jerk. He has no business being in customer service. After reading other reviews, seems like this is a common occurrence at this location. Wish I had known. I’ll not make the mistake of shopping here again."
"The staff at this American Eagle location are the definition of toxic. I was literally humiliated and verbally assaulted by the manager for taking attempting to switch items out in the dressing room in order to comply with their “5 item” rule. Their expectation is that you get fully dressed, exit the dressing room, swap out 5 more items and then go back in the dressing room. I didn’t even have a purse with me and I was treated like a criminal and yelled at. If you’ve experienced this, call the corporate number. They were very responsive."
