"Awesome little local restaurant. Great food and very friendly staff. Highly recommend"
"We stopped at this cozy quaint cafe on the way home from the mountains. It was really good. I got the mushroom Swiss burger with fries and my boyfriend got the BBQ sandwich with tater tots. Both were really good. It is affordable we paid about $22 for both sandwiches and 2 sweet teas. The inside is a lot nicer than the photos online. We will definitely be back."
"This is now "Rusty Gate Cafe". I don't know why Google maps is taking Sooooo long to change it. Be sure and stop in for some friendly service and great food. The Tenderloin is delish."
"Actually my rating is 4.5 stars. The food, prices, and friendliness of the place make up for the exterior which certainly would keep many folks away. The sanitation grade is in the upper nineties. We have been five times in the last month. Maw Maw's is about five minutes from our house and the food is better and more reasonably priced than anywhere we have tried in the Mocksville/Clemmons area. They have become our go to quick lunch place. I have had both their flounder plate and their half fried chicken specials twice. We just moved from the coast so we are very picky about our flounder and what we have gotten at Maw Maw's is excellent especially considering two flounder plates with drinks comes to $19.74 including tax. I also like the half fried chicken because it is deep-fried without breading. I get mine with a side of their homemade barbecue sauce. Another plus is that they have a wide choice of vegetables. I try to stay away from potatoes and eat more complex carbs like beans. Maw Maw's does a good job with their pintos and will chop some onion for them. The only thing we have had that we did not care for is their biscuits. However, we came at the end of breakfast and I am a biscuit maker myself so I have high standards. The waitresses are very attentive and work hard to make sure you don't need anything. There are always a lot of workmen at lunch and plenty of local people stopping by for takeout. The staff knows the first names of many customers. If you go away hungry, it is likely your own fault. The flounder special is available on Friday. The half fried chicken special is on Thursday. There are other specials but we haven't tried them yet. They do close at 2PM and are not open on Sundays. Considering that they start the day early, do yourself a favor and don't go in at ten minutes to two on Saturday and expect great service or food. However, they will likely happily serve you on of their $2 foot long hot dogs if they haven't run out."
"Great little country kitchen with a southern atmosphere. Love the big cheeseburger all the way! They have breakfast till 11 am and their gravy biscuits are out of this world. I highly recommend this place."
