Valley Medical Group - Digestive Health

"I would give les than 1 star if I could and am saddened to share that I had a horrible experience and received poor medical care for my husband today. We have been with Valley Medical Group for more than 20 years. Our doctor is on vacation this week. We needed immediate consult and arranged through the group to see the covering doctor; The appointment was made with the specific reason for why we needed to see the doctor right away and when we checked in today we were told "oh, the doctor will not see you for that or treat you for that." The front desk was not helpful, we asked to see the Office Manager and she was even less helpful or even honest about what was going on. She claimed to have no idea of why we were there and blamed the medical navigator. Everyone knew why we were there which is why things unraveled after we checked in. Super elevated blood pressure post op for over a week is not something to dismiss -which is why I was able to get an appointment for today with the person who arranged it. You are building a state of the art hospital all around these medical buildings like the one I was at today 140 East Ridgewood Ave/VMG Digestive Health; if the hospital operates like this particular practice I am scared for people who come in with real medical emergencies."
