The rooms are significantly better than anywhere comparable, each individual staff member interacted with was helpful and kind, and they have one of the most beautiful cocktail rooms I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. Last but not least - their rooftop venue; Starchild has some of the best views you could ask for!"

"This was one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The staff was hospitable from the beginning as they moved us up to a higher floor than we booked. The design and vibe was exactly what we were looking for and the room had an intimate setting with a phenomenal view. Recommend the cocktail bar where we enjoyed some of the most original drinks we’ve had. Also, the location is magnificent being right near Broadway, Central Park and 5 star restaurants. 10/10."

"LOVED this hotel. The only reason I gave the room a 4 instead of a five is because their was only one old outlet by the bed and it worked intermittently and the glass divider in the walk in shower wasn’t quite big enough so water soaked the floor of the bathroom after taking a shower. It’s small but that’s NYC and we knew it going in. It was clean, comfortable, quaint and nicely decorated. Great use of space. Gorgeous tile in the bathroom. Beautiful brick in the main areas. Unique front door. It’s a great little boutique hotel in a fantastic location! The staff was very friendly and helpful."

"This was absolutely the best place I’ve stayed in NYC. (I frequently make trips there) The staff was over the top accommodating and respectful. The hotel itself is stunning and feels like a 5 star every time you walk back in. The room was spotless, the view was perfect, the staff had smiles and helped us out a couple times as well as a voucher for the cool bar upstairs. I forgot to go down and redeem and over a week after check out I call back and they were very quick to get me squared away. I’ll always be staying at Civilian from now on."

"Nicely acquainted hotel just minutes from time square, Rockefeller center and more! The team was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The room wasn’t ready but that was expected since we were about two hours early. They made great recommendations for brunch while we waited and once we returned we were all set up for our room. Nice bar and restaurant on site with a very friendly team. Shout out to the bar tender for being very welcoming and kind! Rooms are small, but you’re in the city and you’ll be out and about most of your time here. Would definitely visit again."
