"Went to the emergency vet when our doggy was vomiting blood. We were obviously worried and on the brink of panic. What kept us from full blown panic was the staff at Greater Staten Island Veterinary Services. We were met with extremely kind, patient, calming, and truly empathetic check-in staff, nurses, and doctors. Hope everyone at the office sees this and gives themselves the kudos they deserve."
"I lost my 2 dogs a month and a half apart. The animal hospital workers were such sweethearts and professionals, they put us in a room to properly say goodbye and explained to us the next step to do after loosing a pet. Our family is so grateful to them for their professionalism and caring. They are awesone!"
"Sooooo, it took me a couple of months to figure out exactly what I wanted to say. I brought my fur baby to this place because my regular veterinarian was closed, so it was an emergency! Did they take care of my pet, ✔️ Were they expensive, ✔️ as they should be, they are helping you during an emergency! Were they caring, empathetic professionals? ABSOLUTELY NOT! ❌❌❌ My suggestion is to read the reviews of emergency vets in your area BEFORE there is an actual emergency. During this time, my goal was to help my fur baby, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go there again, only if every emergency vet in the world were closed! There are many reviews and people I have spoken to who received the same vibe; you are, in fact, just a dollar sign to this place; the more you care for your vet, the more “issues” they will find. Yes, money is important, and I would pay whatever I could afford to help my pet; they are my responsibility. But it’s unfair for a veterinarian to take advantage of that. It’s not what you say; it’s how you say it! Please do your research before settling, and check out your local and even other emergency hospitals nearby BEFORE the emergency happens. Not everyone should be a veterinarian; you must be a special person to do the work. I didn’t get the vibe at this place."
"I’ve been here multiple times for my senior pets with medical emergencies, when my veterinarian was closed. Every time I’ve been here the whole staff has used great discretion with letting the more serious emergencies be seen before the others. The vets are very knowledgeable .. I happened to get Dr Catrone multiple times . Not only was he intelligent but he was empathetic & very kind to both me and my pets . It really makes all the difference. He definitely goes the extra miles . Thank you again Dr Catrone . Kristy"
