"Upon meeting Dr. Nina Jacobson there were two things that stood out. Her calming bedside manner and her medical knowledge. Dr. Jacobson calmly and patiently answered each of my questions and concerns. Helping me and guiding me to fully understand the problems I was facing and helped me to understand all my treatment options. Although I chose to surgically rectify my problem, at no point did I feel pressure from her to go either route. She was happy to assist me with whatever treatment plan I chose. Throughout my pre-op testing, to my post-op follow up, Dr. Jacobson made sure everything was done in a dignified way! Dr Jacobson has truly gifted hands, and her expertise during surgery made my results better then ever expected! I can tell a lot of thought went into picking her staff. "I hope this review helps other woman who may be struggling or in the same place as I was when I found Dr. Jacobson Pre-op Dx: Menorrhagia/Abnormal Uterine Bleeding/Pelvic Organ Prolapse (Negative Transvaginal US) Post-op Dx: Endometriosis/Uterine Fibroids/Adenomyosis/mild chronic Inflammation Procedure: Robotic-assisted Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy, Bilateral Salpingectomy, Uterosacral ligament suspension, Excision and Fulguration of Endometriosis, Lysis of Adhesions, Cystoscopy, Posterior Repair, Enterocele Repair, Perineoplasty When I met Dr. Jacobson I was not in a great place in my health journey. I have suffered with heavy periods and cramping for many years. It wasn't until I had children that my bleeding and pain got worse. On top of that, I was suffering from pelvic organ prolapse and SUI d/t having a large baby and a traumatic vaginal delivery. My plan was always aimed at seeing a urogyn MD but lack of time kept me away. I was originally evaluated by 2 different doctors in the practice and ultimately ended up with Dr. Jacobson since she is the robotic specialists in the practice. I had planned my surgery for in the distant future as my situation was not critical and academic obligations were my main focus at that time. Unfortunately I developed AUB and ended up in the OR on two different occasions for a D&C to stop the bleeding. Prior to my second D&C, Dr. Jacobson was made aware of my critical bleeding and even though she was on vacation she still contacted me to ensure my safety, and from there, her and her PA, Kristin Gangel stayed in contact with me, prescribed medication (when my OBGYN wouldn't) and made sure that my bleeding stopped before letting me go. Less than a month later, I was in the OR with Dr. Jacobson (8/10/23). Today, I am recovered at 100% and even maybe 110%. I say 110% because I now have my life back. I am no longer bleeding, no more pelvic pain, no more bloating and full correction of my prolapse. I finally have my female/reproductive life back & I attribute this to Dr. Jacobson and her team. I was scared to admit I was having female/reproductive issues, I was scared to get surgery to correct these issues, but I met with Dr. Jacobson and she lead me right to today- Happy and Healed. To Dr. Jacobson and her team, I just wanted to take a moment to say “THANK YOU” from the bottom of my heart for the outstanding care that you and your team provided me. My recovery was almost seamless and your attention to detail was not under-appreciated or overlooked in any way. I feel so blessed to have found you, and now completed this life changing surgery. You and your staff are incredibly kind, compassionate and immensely professional, and from one healthcare provider to another, I can’t tell you how much that means to me. "Dr Jacobson is professional, attentive to my needs, answers questions thoroughly, & takes my well being seriously. She is a highly specialized and excellent surgeon. My only regret is that I did not go to her sooner. The surgery was approximately 5 hours and everything went very smoothly, including my recovery. Without going into too much personal detail about my situation, I will say that I was as calm as possible and confident in Dr Jacoboson's abilities going into the surgery. Afterwards I was 100% certain that I chose the best person for my treatment. Her office staff is friendly, caring, and competent. "I can only say great things about my whole experience with Dr Jacobson. From the start she was knowledgeable, confident and had great bed side manner. Explained all my options and answered all my questions. My surgery was completed and she was able to do everything laparoscopically where my other Dr would have done a whole C-section incision. "Dr. Nina Jacobson recently performed surgery on me at the end of July 2023. She informed me of the procedure, options, side effects and the pros and cons of the surgery. But before this pre-op consultation, Dr. Jacobson took the time to share her knowledge and expertise of my condition in my visits to her over the course of two years. Surgery should be a well planned option and that's what Dr. Jacobson did. During each visit we discussed what was working for me and if not, what were my options. She displayed care and concern for my wellbeing and was available for my questions. I never felt rushed when meeting with her. Her appointment hours are always prompt without a long wait time to see her. Her staff is friendly and polite. Her office is well organized and cooperative.
