"Do not go to this woman!!!! I left in tears after going to her. She was absolutely unprofessional and demeaning! I refused the weight checkin and Ellison told me that I HAD to have my weight checked every single time. I even let her know I monitor my weight at home regularly, she really had no valid reason other than her need for control. I’ve never been told that a weight check was mandatory every visit, not even with my previous pregnancy. Nor have I ever been spoken to like this by a medical professional that WORKS FOR ME! She was nasty and rude, didn’t even say hello when she walked in. Instead I was met with a scowl! She proceeded to call my husband a “significant other” then lectured me about keeping files of my previous blood work, making smirks about my answers and really just disregarding everything I said. It just left me so out of it that I could barely speak. This was a real eye opener, I’m glad it happened now in time for me to find another doctor. This was just the icing on the cake as she had previously told me that I was 10 weeks but really I was 14 weeks! I hope this helps other black women who think that she may be good because she’s also a black woman. I could never feel comfortable delivering with a woman like this."

"I've been with Dr. Ellison for over 20yrs. If it wasn't for her, my daughter wouldn't of been here today. I found out I was pregnant with my daughter July 14th, bleed a week later. Went to ER and was told I had an empty sack. Dr removed clots and told me to follow up with my doctor, which I did. She ordered a vaginal and regular sonogram. While waiting, people were telling me and mother to get an to the hospital and get a D&C. I called Dr. Ellison office crying. She called in the evening and said "I'm your doctor and to take the tests and wait for the results." She was very compassionate. I am so grateful for her because of her, my daughter is here, 20yrs later. She is the best hands down and she is very good at what she do. I recommend her to anyone. Heck, I recommended her to friends and family already!"

"Dr. Ellison is direct and to the point but compassionate. She saw me through 2 of my pregnancies, the first of which ended unfortunately in the 2nd trimester. She explained things well and was genuinely sympathetic during my loss. I will never forget, when I was making my annual appointment for a year after my pregnancy loss, Irina, her nurse said quietly to me "We'll see you before then, I think" "

"Dr Ellison delivered my daughter April 18 20001 I was an older mother I was very nervous and she made me feel secure. I had my son in 2003 and she also delivered him She delivered my grandson in 2002. She consultad on my granddaughter and grandson in 2005 and 2008. I am no longer in the baby making business lol but I refer everyone and anyone that I know. She is the truth! I need to stop by and introduce my daughter to her she is 18 years old now. I want her to meet Dr Ellison so that she can meet the person that helped bring her into the world. I'm sending her some flowers today! She's the best."
