"The entire staff and Amy were wonderful, and I was seen in under 5 minutes. They were all so kind and compassionate, and Amy knew exactly how to treat me after I described my symptoms. This is the only walk-in medical that actually sends a follow up summary on how and when to take the medications to ensure I understand my treatment plan. This was invaluable to me since I was not feeling well and not focusing on the directions given. This was my 2nd visit to Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care, and both times, I received excellent care. I also highly recommend creating a patient portal account so you can see your lab results much sooner and medication instructions immediately."
"Horrible staff from the front desk to the NP. Went there last night about 35 minutes before closing and my family of 3 and I needed medical help. Front desk person was ruling her eyes because it was too late and made a comment that they can’t accommodate all the 4 of us so I volunteered not to be seen and asked if they can see the rest of my family. Amy was the NP that night and we explained what we experienced and she literally rushed us out of the door within 15 minutes. For some reason she refused to test for covid but decided to go for strep throat test on my wife. Her medical assistant was coming in the exam room demanding the tests so they can go home. Even though we all were exposed to covid and I told Amy that during the session, she was overwhelmed trying to rush us out of the building. My wife strep throat came back positive so Amy the nurse assumed that my 4 years old with has many gut issues and very sensitive to antibiotic is also positive for that. I was so mad and I went back after they locked the door and demanded a test. She came out with literally her jacket on and her purse in one hand and a test in the in other. She said that she is going to send the test overnight and someone from the staff will call in the morning. That was a lie and nobody called. She didn’t want to wait additional 5 minutes to give the rapid test but instead we had to go home and wait for a call that never came. Drove back this morning after I was told that these non rapid test take between 48-72 hours !!! How can a medical professional staff assume a diagnosis and how dare she was willing to take a chance with a child whose fever was running to 103 every night. This morning I drove back and demanded A rapid test. We were assigned an older bald male doctor and He was very rude with ugly manners and looked like he was trying to pick a fight. My wife simply sucked it up and took his abuse and left after the test. Will never go back if they are the last place in business. I don’t trust them, don’t trust their medical diagnoses. This is a place to that assume medical diagnosis instead of using medical testing facts. The whole place is a dump and being run as a dunken donuts drive through. Just rushing patients in and out. I would give a zero star if I could … simply horrible."
"Brought my wife 76 yrs old after testing positive for COVID. First was told they were very busy although there was only one person in waiting room. Then was told the "doctor had seen a lot of patients that day". They refused to see her. I asked if that meant he was "tired" . I was very angry. Wife also has lung cancer. They threatened to call police because I was upset they wouldn't see her. Will never go there again."
"I go to this urgent care when ever I am and sick or having an issue. Never have any problems or misdiagnosis... I saw AMY A WERNER, APN multiple times and she's the best!! So kind and listens to my concerns. I work in the medical field so I understand medical terminology, and diagnosis... but for someone who doesn't, she explains everything so they could understand what is going on. I would use her as my PCP if I was able to. Everyone in the office is kind, and was nice. Yes the wait is sometimes long, but that's how it is at a " walk in" urgent care/ clinic. Also you need to take into consideration that if the provider is spending time with each patient that is a great thing... you wouldn't want your visit rushed just so the wait time is less... always a pleasant experience."
"Avoid at all costs. Nurse practitioner would not listen to me. Told me I had a minor ear infection, gave me ear drops and sent me on my way. It is now a week later, have gone to a real doctor who was appalled at how I was treated. I now need a heavy dose of antibiotics as a result and still may wind up in the emergency room. As a follow up, I did wind up in the emergency room. It turns out I have a sinus infection not an ear infection. Again avoid this place at all costs."
