Bird of Paradise Motel

"Stayed there Sept 1 to the 4th for my daughter's birthday once I got there checking was a breeze staff was friendly very helpful told us parking is minimal but they have 2 locations you can park at and use the facility pools place was close to everything 13min walk to the supermarket 3min walk to the boardwalk and beach the room was nice and clean the only downside I have is that the motel should invest in blackout curtains since the blinds do not prevent light from coming in the room but besides that my stay was awesome I would stay there again."

"I’m a pretty laid back person when it comes to hotels cause I’m barely ever even in the room but this was truly one of the worst experiences ever. I will never ever stay here again. The fridge REEKED and was absolutely filthy so we couldn’t keep our drinks/food in there. Their wasn’t any service at all. No housekeepers at all so we ran out of toilet paper and towels and they never answer the phone at the lobby (which is located at another hotel) None of the outlets worked except one so it was either light at night or charge your phones The TV had one channel and remote didn’t work to change it. The pillows were discolored and disgusting. The beds didn’t even have fitted sheets on them. Their was only one temperature of water which was cold, the hot water was SCORCHING. There was pieces of huge glass at the bottom of the pool after someone smashed a window on the 3rd floor. I watched them clean the area near the pool but not IN the pool. The pool was never vacuumed or anything. Overall only good thing about this room was it’s location."

"Can't say anything bad. Overall a great experience. Ac worked great, beds were a bit hard. Location is perfect. It is not really on ocean Ave which can be deceiving if that's what your expecting, it's more like across the street from ocean Ave. But still great, the motel across the street was a little closer but it was so overbooked and crowded it was actually funny too see. I like that this place had some privacy and most of the time my family had the pool to ourselves. Which was great because the pool is not very big. Yes you do have to check in at motel a few doors down but they also had sundaes by the pool at that location for both properties so you can utilize that also. I didn't have any issues with parking, which is very common at alot of WW motels and I used my car a few times in/out. We did drive down to better beach access a few blocks north closer to Russo's..Yummy..BTW.. I would recommend this motel definitely for the boardwalk access. It also has a cute pizza place across the street. I would've like to sign lite up at night but it overall fit into the low key setting. I will definitely come back..Thank you for being so accommodating."

"Was able to keep my room for an extra day in the middle of July. Which was great! Pool was fine. Room was fine, missing a few hooks and hangs for towels and you can tell where they previously had been so that was odd. But a totally fine, workable room. When you run the AC you cant hear the TV and have to crank it up. The most confounding thing was that check-in isn't until 3pm and until that time there's nobody at the office. There's a sign that says to go to the sister motel two doors down, if you need something to go there. But if you go down there before 3 no one is there either. Maybe this experience is unique to me but it sure was different than any other hotel/motel experience I've ever had. I've walked into hotels at 2pm and 2am and always been able to talk to someone at the front desk."

"We were there for a one day trip and they accommodated us with a room with a short notice. The room was very clean upon our arrival! Would highly recommend it! My son and grandson enjoyed being able to swim in the pool. It was a short distance to the boardwalk with having a mom that has to be pushed with a wheelchair! Can’t wait to go again."
