Harbor House Bed & Breakfast

"Bad Experience Just got back from my day out. It's 10pm. My second day here. I couldn't figure where to park because spaces were taken in front. I called front desk to see where I could park and was told to try down the block or the Blvd. which was a block away. I said your kidding. I told him parking should be provided for It's patrons. At this point he told me I can have a refund. I said I'll go find a spot. He insisted I take refund. I said I'll just leave tomorrow and not come back. He had a fit basically, telling me we can do this the easy way or the hardway. When I went to the front desk to give back key and get refund, he was still carrying on. I told him to stop talking and let's get this over with. He starting yelling for me to say that one more time. I told him he was insane. He called me a leech. I was from out of town and booked a second night because first night was fine. Real mental case. If owner finds out he should be fired and learn that maybe he's in the wrong business."

"Great location! Quick drive to the ferry and really nice views of the NY skyline and Verrazzano bridge. Moe, the inn keeper, was so accommodating! He made sure we were able to get in upon arrival when he was out of the house and provided very early coffee and breakfast items when we had to leave at 6:30am one morning. The house is old, rooms are not fancy at all and need updating, but clean, good mattress, a hot shower, and the price is right!"

"Probably, one of the few hidden gems in New York, with this type of accommodation. Staten Island may be a bit off the radar and is an ideal place if you’re after something simple and Peaceful after a busy day sightseeing in the city. You can enjoy the great view of New York from the porch, while having breakfast. Rooms may look a bit tired but it does the job. Beds are comfortable and value is reasonable too."

"The location was easily accessible by public transit or by car. The ferry ride to Manhattan was great. The house and rooms themselves are quite nice, good value for money, and the host is very easy going. I enjoyed the view of the sunrise over the Hudson River illuminating the skyscrapers every morning, and the multiple ships in the water. I would definitely stay here again"

"My husband and I stayed at Harbor House for 2 nights. The location is wonderful for viewing the Verrazano Bridge and Hudson River and New York skyline. Moe the proprietor is friendly, kind, and aims to please his guests. The price is very reasonable. The bed was comfortable, the room was plain but clean and more than adequate. Staten Island is a great place to stay if you're touring Manhattan. It's a 15 minute ferry ride (free!) across the Hudson. I got my best view of the Statue of Liberty ever! Unless you're persnickety about staying in a place that is posche and modern, you'll enjoy Harbor House."
