Little Charlie Hotel 837 2nd Avenue, Manhattan, New York 10017

"We stayed here this past Saturday February 3rd, 2024. It's off season so a steal at 140$. Amazing room overlooking the street. Small, but functional. Loved the Fiji waters in the fridge. Temperature control was new and worked great. TV was a Samsung frame, nicest TV I've seen in a hotel. Would stay here again without a doubt. Close to everythig. Located in midtown west. Only complaint was no hot water."

"Spent three days at this place. Lovely and cozy place. The room is small but I’ve stayed in smaller (especially in the UK) but really clean. Perfect for a couple and even better for a single person. The bathroom is lovely and spacious. It’s like the room is half bathroom and half bedroom. Location is great. Three blocks away from Grand Central Terminal. A block away from UN HQ. Suggestion to the hotel staff: please put coat hooks or places to hang clothes. It takes up no space at all especially if put high."

"Little Charlie Hotel has clearly focused on the things that matter, like a comfortable bed and linens, and a well-designed room with lots of warm lighting and features like a mini fridge, wifi, and a TV with built-in streaming apps. Yes, the rooms are small, and yes, the service is limited (though very friendly and welcoming), but if you're looking for a simple, comfortable room rather than shelling out for a full-service hotel with bunch of extra amenities that you're not going to use anyway, then this is it. Would strongly recommend."

"New little Apartment Hotel that opened up on 2nd Avenue. Perfect for a travelling couple. Very close to many eateries, shops, a short walk from Grand Central Terminal and Time Square (if you're a walker). Of course its an older building, so you hear everything outside, but the rooms are completely renovated & new. It's small, but you'll be out & about all day anyway, so it's perfectly sized for people looking for somewhere small & clean to stay. Everything is new & Cozy, can be warmed very quickly and cooled very quickly. Washrooms are very tight & small, not really ideal if you're a larger / taller person. Our shower didn't have anywhere to put soap/shampoo bottles but it was clean & new. Bed is super comfy, TV is wall mounted, right at your feet. Definitely has a Japanese MicroCube feel to it. Lighting was bright & moody, and again, it's perfect for the traveller that will be out sight seeing all day. It has a self-check in & check out system if you come after hours. They also have a secure luggage storage area if you come before your check in time and you want to go see the sights (we went to to see the Macy's parade) while you wait for your room. Access keys are available either through your phone or a key card, so it's all really convenient if you ever lose your physical key card. Would definitely stay here again when we return to NYC!"
