"Loved the fact you can crack open the windows and get fresh air. Lovely view of the Ansonia building and across the street from the Fairway that used to be open 24/7 when it was my neighborhood like twenty five years ago."
"Very friendly people, great service. The best location in UWS. Well furnish kitchenette. Supermarket across the street and trader Joe's 2 blocks. Walking distance to nearby to 72th subway station. If you don't want to prepare breakfast, Viand is at the corner. Great laundry room with ice and vending machines. Fast elevators. The computers at lobby may need an upgrade."
"My experience at the Hotel Beacon in New York was regrettably unfavorable. During our stay, we encountered a regrettable incident at the hotel's front desk. Unfortunately, one staff member, particularly a lady, exhibited a discourteous demeanor. This individual raised her voice towards us without apparent cause, creating an uncomfortable situation in front of our family. Subsequently, during the check-out process, the same lady seemed uncooperative, requiring us to request assistance repeatedly. Despite our proficiency in English, there appeared to be an unwarranted assumption, perhaps due to our non-American background, which made the overall experience disheartening. We believe such instances should be addressed to maintain the hospitality standards expected from reputable establishments. The staff exhibited a lack of courtesy and hospitality towards tourists. Issues with payment arose, and instead of efficiently addressing the matter, they chose to lecture us on the intricacies of Booking procedures, overlooking the actual problem. Such treatment falls far below the standard expected from a hospitality service."
"Good room, smaller on the size but not small considering it's in upper west side of Manhattan. Very comfy bed and couch bed, great water pressure and shower head. Great location, great service. Will use again."
"We stayed here for 7 days in the 2 bedroom suite. It had plenty of space for me and my family. I traveled with my 9yr old, my mother, and my aunt. The staff was great and very helpful. The location was perfect for what we were here for. We had an event at Central Park and this Hotel is very close by. I use a wheelchair and this Hotel is fairly accessible. Most buildings in the city have limited accessibility in general, but it was easy for me to get around in the room. *Pardon the room pics* as I forgot to take some as we first got here- these were all taken on the day we were leaving so this was all in a very lived in space. I will also say that housekeeping was not intrusive at all. They were very considerate and polite. They would always check to see if we were "ready" and if not, they would come back."
