"DO NOT STAY HERE. I had to change my room twice. First it was a broken bed. Then the second room did not have hot water in the shower because of a serious problem in the wall. I received no help throughout the stay. Hotel guests have to relentlessly reach out to front desk for help. Upon checking out, I asked for email copy of receipt which did not come through in the next few days. When I called the hotel, they kicked me around for 7 times. I couldn’t speak to anyone who’s helpful for even 15 seconds. I’m utterly speechless and frustrated by the hotel service. It only makes your trip and stay more difficult and create lingering issues even after."
"The location was great. Subway was right below the hotel. There is a lot of street food around, and there are a lot of fine dining options as well. Very well located. 5 min walk to times square and 10 mins to Central Park. The machines in the gym were broken! The rooms needed to be upgraded and repainted. Very busy hotel too."
"The hotel is in a great location but I will never go back again. I waited in line over 2 hours to check in then when I finally got into a room it was filthy. I called front desk and they were sending up someone to clean. When I returned back nothing was done so I spoke to a manager again who switched my room. That room was actually clean even though the wall paper was peeling off the wall, the lamps were falling apart and the grab bars were hanging off the tile in bathroom. We finally fell asleep and then the toilet started running every five minutes at 1 am. In the morning I finally spoke to another manager who moved us to our third room which I understand is their " model" room they use to book future events, which was spotless and looked nothing like the other rooms we were in previously. The hotel needs a complete update because the wall paper in the lobby is peeling off the walls, the furniture is all damaged and the lights were falling out of the ballroom ceiling at the dance convention that we were actually in town for, which to me is a liability, unfazed any of the staff working there. If you book here, be ready to wait at least 20-30 minutes for an elevator at busy times and the parking fees are not at noted on the website. The garage that is associated with the hotel no longer will honor the $75 a day parking fee. Be prepared to pay double. There are too many hotels in the area that are in much better shape."
"The outside is beautifully decorated with flowers adorning the entrance over your head. The inside was also prettily decorated for the holidays. I went for a work holiday party so I didn't see a hotel room but the event hall was so grand and spacious. The food was delicious and from check-in to leaving the party, while hectic, it was all very organized. They even had attendants leading you to the hall and had a room dedicated to coat checks. I've always walked passed the Sheraton without a second thought, but I can see the appeal now. Also, even upon entering the lobby areas you can see how massive this place is, but there were many areas for people to gather and explore before even stepping out to Time Square. Overall, great location, is easy to get to from Queens, and the atmosphere, probably makes this great for a wedding venue as well. They did a good job of keeping the event secure and only for the guests invited. Again, it's also in Times Square so you're near everything and have instant access to many subway lines."
"The windows were FILTHY. I know that doesn't really matter, but it ruined whatever view we had. The room was small, but nice. The housekeeping staff did a great job, though they didn't come every day (maybe we stayed in the room too late?). I guess I'm just not a 4-star hotel kind of girl. I didn't like that we had to go out for breakfast. There was no microwave in the room, though they did bring an old beat up one for an extra $25 charge. The location, however, was fantastic. It was close to where the action is, and yet still managed to be quiet at night."
