I have struggled for years to find the right barber/hairdresser (medium length mens hair), and Enrico thoughtfully consulted me on what I wanted and made it happen with exactitude. "Obligatory "I almost never write reviews" disclaimer, but felt compelled after a much-needed fantastic experience. I'm a male with short hair and I couldn't have been more satisfied with the service and end-result. For a smidge of context: I moved the area about 16 months ago and was going to someone in a different spot. He did a fine job, but would never respect the fact that I had an appointment; if a walk-in showed up 2 minutes before my appointment, he'd just take him, leaving me waiting for sometimes more than 25 minutes. I usually go home and wash up after a cut so I never ask for product. This one time I did, he added a $6 charge to my bill for a pea sized amount of hair cream! Blew me away. That was it for me. Tried another place close by. Good service, nice people, fair price, but the result wasn't good. Finally visited Land of Barbers and it was exactly what I've been looking for. Super friendly at reception. Offered cappuccino while I waited (which was due to me being early). Riccardo was my barber/stylist and he absolutely nailed it. He was personable and had suggestions without being pushy. He did a detailed job but didn't take a long time in doing so. Afterwards there was a complimentary wash and a little styling product added (without an upcharge!) This may seem inconsequential, but everyone who worked there was also super kind and personable with each other. To me, it just added to what was already an excellent vibe. Maybe it stuck out more because I was a first-timer, but I loved it. And to be clear, none of the chatter between those who worked there in any way distracted Riccardo from working with me. It all worked great together. 10 out of 10 for a first-time experience, and I expect this to be my spot for as long as I am in Greenpoint. I highly recommend getting your haircut here if you're a man, and if you're a woman there are a litany of highly-regarded services, too."
