"In April of 2023 I visited Cutloose-bk as a model with post pandemic dark salt and pepper hair. Not ready to fully embrace the grey - but unsure of where to go from there. I put my trust in Terrance Lucas and her instructor! They gave me a full head of highlights and I became a rich dark blond. I loved the color so much, I returned a few months later and again put my trust in Terrance once more and walked out blonder with gorgeous butter highlights. SO. MANY. COMPLIMENTS.. Terrance has also cut my hair and I always leave super happy with exactly what I asked for. Things I love about Terrance: She is warm, welcoming, patient enthusiastic and super detail oriented. Generous with her knowledge she will help suggest products and styling options. Things I love about the salon overall: the vibe is relaxing, the music is great and everyone is super talented and very professional."

"I am so grateful to have found Cutloose for my wedding hair and makeup! Siobhan and Terrance did my hair and makeup along with my mom and five bridesmaids and the experience was fun, professional, and magical. Siobhan's artistry and meticulous attention to detail transformed my bridal vision into a stunning reality, with a half-up do and extensions that left me feeling like royalty. Terrance did natural/soft glam looks with eyelash placements for all of us and we truly all have never looked better :) The wedding was a hot and humid day but the hair and makeup all stayed perfect the entire night – even through lots of dancing. "My go-to salon in Greenpoint. I've been trusting Terrance with my hair for the better part of 2 years and she is such a delight! She was able to bring out the natural curls in my hair and showed me how to care for it, styled it, and once colored it a beautiful hombre. Can't recommend her enough!"

"Do NOT book wedding hair at this salon. I was absolutely horrified with how the owner sent us out as bridesmaids. We spent a lot of money here only to have to completely redo our own hair an hour before the wedding. She was short and aggressive with all of us, and no one felt comfortable speaking up to her to ask to have our hair redone. I cannot believe a professional would be okay letting hair like this walk out of their salon. I would give this zero stars if I could. Here’s the photo I gave for inspiration and the photo of how my hair came out. I thought she was JOKING when she said I was finished and rushed me out of the chair. She’s owes the bride a refund. I’m waiting for the owner to respond and blame us for something as I’ve seen in previous bad reviews. There’s no excuse for this."

"Had a great experience with Gabriella. I did highlights and cut - hair color is flawless. She was meticulous and made sure to layer in different toners to get the laid back look I wanted, that would work with my schedule for upkeep. The cut also looks terrific even after being rained on! Again, she spent time to understand my life and give me the vibe I wanted - 90s model feathery layers - whole still being cognizant of my upkeep schedule and the need to grow out nicely. Everything is really well blended and pretty. I am excited to go back and glad I found this salon."
