Famous Original Ray's Pizza

"The pizza was solidly good but they didn’t heat it up enough. But they heated it up more when I requested it. Bathrooms were very clean and the place in general was very clean and sanitary which is always nice! Can’t say the same about every pizza place in Manhattan."

"If such filth is dangling from the ceiling, it ends up in my food. How can anyone run their business in such a state? The state of the ventilation is simply hellish. There are sculptures on the walls, but if you look closely, they're covered in dust that's been there for 3-4 years. The place needs renovation and a more generous owner. By the way, we don't see the areas where they prepare the dough and fillings. Something tells me there's even less attention to cleanliness there. I do not recommend this establishment."

"Came back here after 4 years during a recent vacation. Great food. A tad pricey for gourmet slices but I along side ordered a gyro to go. Wow one of the best gyros I’ve ever had. Staff was friendly, they were close to closing on a Sunday night, they had a soccer game on and they were very nice and friendly. The seating area could use a little updating, but plenary of room in there."

"Wow just wow best pizza I ever had 1st time in New York. I can't explain it I just think it was made with love lol. It's definitely way different to any pizza I've eaten at and I'm from Miami that's saying alot. I highly recommend everyone to come check them out if your ever in town."

"This place ended up having pretty good slices! Nice crispy crust. Good flavors. Lady behind the counter was nice. Not the best pizza I've had in New York, but overall it was good. Really liked the crunch in each bite!"
