Reviews
"We were impressed with how fast the line moves and the amount and types of pizza they have available. They throw each order back in the oven and serve it hot. The upstairs seating area could be cleaner."
"Positives first: really impressed with how fast the line went, immediately after a sold out MSG show. I arrived with 15 minutes to catch my train and the line was out the door. Made my train with time to spare. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives! I paid $15 for 2 slices, a few garlic knots, and a bottle of coke. Not too shabby, especially considering the limited options so late at night. The quality absolutely did not match the price though. By far the most dry and card board like slice I’ve had “fresh.” Quite literally could not chew through some of the crust and threw away a good portion of my pizza. The cheese was super tough, rubbery, and unpleasant. The garlic knots were so oversaturated with spicy garlic, and they DESPERATELY needed some salt, cheese, just anything to balance out the completely overwhelming amount of spicy raw garlic. Some of them were burnt as well, to the point I couldn’t chew through them. Couldn’t finish these either. I definitely would’ve returned the food for a refund if I didn’t have a train to catch. It was just so, so bad. Most importantly, every single employee I interacted with excessively stared at my chest. Some blatantly flirted with me as well when I clearly wasn’t interested. Made me feel very uncomfortable simply trying to order some pizza in my concert outfit. Definitely would not return to this spot unless I had no other options and was desperate. Disappointed to have wasted money here."
"Not too shabby. Above average pizza for $3.50 regular slice & $4.50 topping slice, tax extra. I prefer the authentic pizza spots where you pay what you see on the menu, tax inclusive. 3% surcharge for credit cards. $9.50 for 20 oz Allagash white on tap. Drinking beer out of a plastic cup just ruins the vibe. The plus is this is right across from Penn Station LIRR. Better to wait here than standing underground…"
"Had to stop in to try the pizza, based on the misleading score on dave's one bite app. Normally I wouldn't think to stop in to a place so close to the station. For fear of a tourist trap. I guess Dave gave the original rosas a higher score when they were inside the station, re-rated later and gave a lower score. Anyway this is a by the slice shop with a gigantic selection and many varieties. Got a classic plane and pepperoni slice. Tasted very good, fresh and delicious and great tasting sauce. Good undercarriage, crust is a little doughy for my liking. Service was extremely fast and somewhat friendly. There is a decent no frills dining area upstairs. Would definitely return if I was passing by or in the immediate area. Update I'm not sure if there's any relation between Rosa's and Rosie's that used to be in Penn station. There's a mix-up on the one bite app and also here on Google. I came to this location because I thought Dave rated a 8.1. But that's not true. Doesn't matter, this is still at least a 7.6 to me. Pretty damn good."
