"I absolutely love a good local coffee shop, and I've gotten takeout coffee twice now from Kala's. Each time, I've been thoroughly delighted. Tonight I ordered a peppermint mocha latte, and it's the best one I've ever had. And the fact that they're open until 7:00 p.m. six nights of the week is such a bonus. The design and atmosphere in the shop is so lovely, I will be planning to make this a hangout spot in 2024. Can't wait to try the food too. Really hoping people support this excellent establishment!"

"I hope they make it. But I don’t hold out a lot of hope. It’s inexcusable to serve store bought pastries that are individually packaged in plastic. It’s also inexcusable to serve lattes made as poorly as mine. Zero thought or care went into frothing the milk. It was in drinkable. The espresso also tasted terrible. Is it the beans or the quality of the shot pulled? I dunno. I’d guess both."

"We had coffee and tea here on a Saturday afternoon. The owners said this coffee shop was just opened about four months ago. This is so much more relaxing than going to a chain coffee shop and very upscale in decor. The coffee and tea selections are good, and there was a nice selection of pastries. This was a very pleasant place for us to relax and talk. Will definitely return."

"A brand new coffee place in Livingston, NJ right across Sunoco gas station. It has a small parking on the side so that’s not an issue. We tried mint-lemonade and my friend tried mango sparkle. And we bought Spinach and cheese pie and apple pastry. Everything was delish. It has a Turkish flair in their food which I love…. Something different right? The atmosphere is great - sleek and modern. Something typically missing in Livingston but definitely improving. Kala’s coffee needs improvement in their menu! Let’s make it more Turkish … Turkish breakfast?? Or have soup and sandwiches for lunch. Such a big space for only coffee won’t cut it. Also they need at least one experience or trained front people. The students seemed nervous Overall a great addition. Love love it."
