"Food was incredible but service was poor. Went for restaurant week as a party of 5. None of our 4 courses arrived at the same time. For example, 3 of us got our appetizers, then 15 minutes later after having to ask, the other two appetizers arrived. It was the same for the salad course, the main course, and dessert. In general, our waitress just seemed like she'd rather be somewhere else and had to be flagged down for everything - water refills, missing food items, etc. The food was great except for one of our salmon fillets which two of us ordered. One was the full 7 oz, but the other was not. Clearly half the filet had peeled away from the skin when it was plated. We brought this to the attention of the manager and he did nothing. Overall the service and attention to detail are not where they need to be for the price point."

"Amazing experience and food. Everything was perfect. Dominic was a great waiter and very attentive to our group. We had to wait a little bit after our reservation time but communicated the entire time with our party regarding the wait."

"We were here for a dinner invite for a friend's graduation. The place is nice and set up like 1960's nostalgia as seen by the pictures on the wall. The food was delicious and well prepared , which it should be because it was a little pricey! They could not accommodate our group of 12 so we had to be split into 3 tables, probably because it was a busy night. The manager did talk to us and try to explain why he couldn't get us all in one table. Will definitely recommend this place if you like steaks and wine."

"Butcher's son is amazing! It was my first time visiting, and I was excited to come and try something different. Not only is the food amazing, but we also had the pleasure of having Lizzie bartender! She took such good care of us that we will definitely come back and see only her! Btw, her cocktail drinks are tasty and yummy. Loved every part of the meal - cake cakes and seafood nachos. And the interior/ambiance is so cute! If you're in Virginia Beach Laskin Rd area, don't miss this gem!"

"My wife and I have been to The Butchers Son twice now and each time was amazing! Our server Dominic was great!( He deserves a raise) He knew everything on the menu and although we’ve been here before he still took time to tell us what he would suggest for appetizers, and a meal. He was very friendly and kept checking on us to make sure everything was great!"
