"Absolutely awful! Had been coming here for years (before Dr. Draper retired he was who I saw)but went to VA Eye Consultants when my mother said she liked them. However, came back here to get my glasses and a pair of sunglasses. Insurance paid for the glasses and I paid $570 out of my own pocket for the shades. They did the script incorrectly and refused to fix. Made me pay to come in to see Dr. Robertson and when I did, he actually started an argument with me in the exam room. He told me that the person who read my lens at the opthomologist was just a tech and didn't know how to read a wrap lens. When I asked him why the left lens was reading correct if the person didn't know what they were doing, he got very argumentative and basically said I was nuts. So beware if you go here. Would give zero stars if I could. Update-Went to Shell Optical after leaving this so called office. Janet there actually took the time to see that not only did they put the script in the wrong area on the lens (bifocals), but they mis-read the script entirely. If they'd only called VA Eye to verify and listened to what I was saying instead of accusing me of wanting to argue, some of this could have been averted. Now I'm out an additional $430 to fix this mistake by this very unprofessional office. A big thank you to Shell Optical and a big shame on you to this office. In response to the office reply-Why would I contact your office when you DID NOT LISTEN TO A WORD I WAS TRYING TO SAY ON THE VISIT &TREATED ME SO POORLY? I didn't not say he called me nuts. Read what I wrote. I said that basically he called me nuts. When you try to speak and someone.cuts you off every time, and asks you to repeat what they've said like one would do a child, you tend to get a bit frustrated in the situation. I am neither a child nor am I stupid, and Dr. Robertson spoke to me as if I were both. You can try to explain it all away, even going so far as to garner sympathy by using Dr. Draper's passing, but the fact remains that your office did not listen to a patient, and in fact wanted to charge me for a specialist visit ($50), to recheck my eyes, when it was your staff who mis-read my script(actually for both pairs of glasses), told me I had to get used to them when I initially put them on and when I called back a week later to tell them there was something wrong, and the lab techs who put the script in the wrong area on the lenses for the 2nd pair. Also, I am not speaking about the first time I visited your office in which the script was indeed incorrect from VA Eye. However, in that situation, they re-examined my eyes at no charge and did indeed find the issue with the initial findings. At the same time, I was treated with respect and not told I was trying to start an argument like at your office. If you have such sympathy for my situation, you'd contact me by telephone and offer to pay me what it cost to have the sunglasses redone. However, I seriously doubt you will do that, since I asked to be contacted by you and all you have done is respond to this Google review."
