"My elderly step mother is facing eviction. She already pays this place too much rent. Being charged for water usage every month and I have never seen a meter around the entire building to get the readings from. She has asked for help numerous times for maintenance to move back the furniture that electricians moved to replace wall sockets. She is frail and physically unable to do this. I have helped her resolve her house keeping issues. He daughter used to do these things but her health deteriorated and she had to go live with her family. This is disgraceful how an elderly woman is being treated!"

"I was on a quick and unexpected military move across the country and found Woodmere Trace through online searches. I wish I was able to view the property ahead of time or else I would not have signed a lease. Move in cleanliness was awful, spider webs, dead bugs and dust. The paint and general condition of the unit (doors, walls, windows) is some of the worst ive seen from an apartment. My unit is a top floor and the bedroom flooring creaks badly (its coming from within the floor so it seems like a structural issue). My BIGGEST issue is the cockroach infestation. Killing 15-20 cockroaches in a month is not normal! Ive heard and been told this isnt a new issue so my question is why they haven’t treated an entire building and eradicated them. I already requested additional extermination services twice but unless the problem is attacked at the source its just a band aid fix. Trust me, I understand the stress of moving, I moved from Seattle to Virginia; but until this company addresses these issues….I’d stay far, far away."

"I would have left 5 stars, but my exit was very upsetting. I loved living here, maintenance was always amazing, and everyone was really nice BUT I never got a final invoice in the mail. They sent it to collections and then charged me an additional ~200$. Citing "attorney fees" which the lady said was in my lease, so thanks for not telling me. I didn't find it in my lease but whose reading. I was not a bad tenant, so this is extremely frustrating. I accept my carpet replacement fee, as ridiculous as it is, I get it. But I hate how they said they sent it, they might have idk, but I never got it and then they sent the final invoice to collections.. I have informed delivery, so I see what gets mailed to me and I didn't receive anything from woodmere. I had no emails, no phone calls. In fact the only reason I found out about it was due to a statement I did receive only to find out the property managers have no idea what it is. I'm sure they will recognize this review and not even think twice, but seriously, this exit was extremely frustrating. I didn't receive a single notification, I would have paid instantly... I did, as soon as I found out BTW. You get 3 stars for this being a good place to live, but please, please, have better communication with your tenants as they leave. Or in general. People don't deserve to have things glossed over. If it costs money. They deserve to know."

"Very nice and upkeep place. If you have the extra cash, rent here. The entire process from signing the lease, to the stay, to vacating was very easy. Payments can be made online with autopay. The location is very secluded with parking lots, land, and trees. I enjoyed my jogs around the area. Maintenance was always quick and effective. The amenities were very convenient. The only bugs were cockroaches. The only cons were how easily they can take money from you. I won't elaborate. Anyway, this is the nicer apartments in Norfolk. Well maintained."

"I’m at peace living here at Woodmere Trace Apartments. I’ve had minor hiccups but the staff here show concern for their tenants not only in their words but their action as well. They’re always swift in response to my every request. Shout to Shannon and the leasing staff who are always nice to me. Shannon’s help and effective communication lead to me finding and moving into my apartment promptly. To this day her attitude has never changed. Kind,respectful and always willing to help. To the maintenance team the work you do here is greatly appreciated. Alayna and Anthony and others, thanks for all that you’ve done on helping to ensure my stay is as comfortable as can be. Keep doing what you guys do."
