"I had the worst therapeutic encounter of my life with the managing partner, Sarah. After some difficulties in the onboarding process, I expressed some calm but direct frustration, in a tone of "you may want to make this easier" (while being clear I was looking forward to therapy). I was immediately fired as a client. I attempted to reach out more than once to apologize - not to work with Sarah but to clear the air. I was rebuffed. It is wildly disappointing to try to use my therapy skills and my voice to communicate directly with a therapist, and to be treated this way.
