Forest Hill Park

"This is a great hidden gem of a park. When you get to the parking lot you have to look for the paved trail. Follow that and it brings you out to a pond with atleast a half mile trail around it. It is really nice."

"Great spot for a picnic, pickleball, or stroll. There's a beautiful little pond and most of the path to/around it is paved, and several picnic shelters up by the parking lot. On Sundays year-round there's a farmers market, and mountain biking trails around the whole park."

"Very pretty and green. I suggest bring bug spray and wear hiking shoes or shoes that have a good grip and you don't mind getting dirty. I will be returning again to check out belle isle."

"Good walking experience. Varying levels of difficulty on trails. The bikers, when I've been here, have been respectful. I'm someone that qualifies for hearing aids that doesn't wear them so bikes can sneak up on me easily. I generally keep to the side in shared areas, but some areas are narrow. Some other trails I've been on have been met with rude bikers (not everyone has perfect hearing). There are some areas I would not advise taking small children to walk because of things like bridges with no guard rails in some areas and extremely uneven trails. But there are plenty of other places in this massive park to take them. The pond is serene."

"Gorgeous park. I was visiting Richmond and this was on one of the attractions list and it makes total sense. It’s huge and there are so many areas to walk, sit around, take pictures, run, work out, see nature, or there were a couple of people rock climbing. There were some turtles in the water when we went which was so cute! The walkways were very wide and had space for multiple parties to share the road. There’s a lot of elevation which makes for a great run or bike ride. There are also some flat areas."
