Laurel Skate Park

"They have a mini ramp great for beginners. There is a smooth patch for jam skating as well. Skateboards, Quads, In-lines welcomed. I haven’t seen any bikes or scooters though."

"This park is okay, it definitely used to be a lot better. The fact they took out the pool and the "mega" half pipe, and chose not to upgrade the park, is such a disappointment. The new mini ramp is nice, but it's nothing in comparison to what they used to have here. I guess parks & rec decided to not make repairs and just remove that stuff instead. Sure hope they plan on building another park or making major upgrades soon. I rarely ever skate here as a result of the new scheme."

"Had never been here before. Kids had fun. Mostly there were kids and teens and a few young adults with skateboards, a scooter, skates, and bike or two. Sad to hear that there used to be a bowl there but it was filled in a year or so ago for safety reasons. And the big ramp was taken down. A gentleman I talked to said there are plans for another ramp to be installed sometime. Didn’t get over to the small half pipe that was in use, but it looked like mostly high school kids who were being respectful of the one or two little kids who were using it too. Everybody was being pretty subdued, not overly loud, nobody swearing or yelling. Just enjoying the structures that were there. There were also a few people using the ball field that was adjacent for batting practice. Kind of run down place, but everybody there seemed to appreciate what was there. And the more experienced riders were being patient with the less experienced."

"Since the renovations the park feels as though its dying. Use to come and get away and have a good time on the vert ramp and bowl but those are gone completely. Now its solely quarters a mini and a couple boxes. It hurts my heart that now many people wont have a place to skate a half pipe or bowl. Honestly wish they only restored the existing park."

"It’s a small skatepark but it has a variety of things. You get in through a fence with a chain and lock on it, but it was unlocked as we came during the day around a little after lunch time. There were a couple people already there riding scooters, a bike and a skateboard. There are multiple ramps of various sizes, a blue concave area and a very large, tall ramp. Although it is December their water fountain still worked which is great. If you’re a beginner it’s a good place to start."
