"I like Dr Hood. He's a great Dr. But u can't never get anyone to answer the phone. They need a good office person that will answer the phone and return your phone call when u leave a message."

"Dr. Hood is by far the best gastroenterologist. I have seen him for the last seven years. He left ballad health in Abingdon, so I followed him to Wythville. He is very personable, and takes his time to listen. I have recommended Dr. Hood to many people and will continue to do so. He is worth the hour drive to see him. His staff is also great and super nice."

"He was a great health care provider up until the birth. Be warned if you want any say whatsoever in your birth experience. I had an induction, but wanted to keep things moving along naturally by walking and moving. The nurses were great helps, but when Dr. Hood informed me that he was going to break my water, even though in my chart it said that I would not like to have my water broken, and I told him "no I don't want my water broken" he said he was going to come back in an hour. He broke my water anyways, without my consent. It was painful and violating."

"Dr. Hood and his staff are absolutely amazing. Everyone is super friendly and concerned about my health and the health of my baby. I've been going to Dr. Hood's office for years and he safely delivered my first born child in December of 2019. He made my first pregnancy experience comfortable. Although I did have health issues during my pregnancy, he made my labor and delivery experience more than I could ever imagine. Special thanks to Dr. Hood, Datche (nurse practitioner,) and everyone who works in the office... even the students who are learning. My husband and I truly appreciate you all in assisting us in bringing our daughter into our lives!! ❤"
