"I have been there for 4 years back in may i developed mold issues that were definitely unlivable. Finally back in October i was moved only to have my kitchen burnt down 3 days for Christmas and no where to go. Now in feb im just now able to get into an apartment. I had to replace everything that was destroyed river walk did not even try to help me. River walk has not attempted to help with moving expenses or returned the rent for the last 10 days of December. I added pictures below. DO NOT MOVE HERE! they will tell u someone willl contact u under these reviews to make there selfs good but when i was contacted by them all they said was that they would get it to the appropriate party and still never contacted nothing!!!!!if i could give less than one star I would but its not an option. Green briar needs to be shut down! They are inhumane!!!"
"This place is literally falling apart. Every building is dilapidated the hvac is old and hardly work, the sewage system is constantly out of order and backed up. The management staff ( Amy, Ari, & Diane) chose to hire people based on their personal relationships with them rather than actually being state certified to do anything. That's the reason there's so many work orders backed up. And that's also the reason one of the buildings caught fire last week. And nearly displaced 12 family's bc the owners force the maintenance staff to do work that they aren't qualified to even be doing. And while all of this is going on Amy is telling all of the office staff to keep quiet about what happened so the residents won't know. I think they told the residents it was an electrical issue and it wasn't. Now seriously why was a maintenance guy heating pipes in an attic without proper training? Bc the owners are too cheap to hire the professionals. Instead Amy just hires her son in law and the husband of the another Greenbrier employee and again neither one is licensed to do anything. The residents should inform the city of the water damage and mold then break their leases."
"I moved in 2 months ago. I really love it here. The apartment is big. I have no problems with the neighbors. The maintenance guys are all very friendly. Amy and Lauren work in the office. They are fairly new.and have undertaken alot. They are working hard and doing they're best. I have faith that they will get the job done, but patience is the key. Give them time to work on an issue you might have. The grounds are kept nice. I don't plan on moving anytime soon. I'm very happy here."
"Absolutely the worst place I've ever stayed at, maintenance is months behind. Took 4 weeks before they supposedly came out to my apartment, but didn't fix any of issues I had brought up stating there were no problems. HVAV units are missing filters, chocked full of mold and dead skin cells from previous tenants over the years. Doors are missing framing latches, making them poorly secured. Ductwork is a disgusting tunnel of much the same as the HVAC unit. Units have never been renovated since they were built some 30+ years ago. And utilities are functioning poorly if at all and easily break from even modest usage due to lack of upgrades anf maintenance. Stay far far away or better yet, live under a bridge for better accommodations."
"STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPLEX! I have a problem after problem for going on almost 2 years and the management could care less. My roof is currently caving in and the construction worker expressed how dangerous it is that we are in the apartment but management refuses to put us in a hotel. This is after the hallway roof feel down along with a light fixture and installation. Not to mention the other roof falling down in the apartment building across from us. I am truly worried for my safety and they could care less. When I first moved in, I ignored the bad reviews, mainly because they reassured me, but PLEASE STAY AWAY. My previous apartment had glue seeping from the floors and for 12 months they never did anything after telling me they would multiple times. I had my sink leak and toilet stop working and despite putting in multiple orders no one came and I fixed it myself. If you care about your well being, do yourself a favor and keep searching."
