"The staff is very friendly but they lack good communication skills upon each other. They also lack "follow-up" procedures regarding my pet. I'm always getting messages and leaving messages with everyone except the vet. So, I canceled my account with Banfield and I'm going to a regular vet (I prefer having a one-on-one pet service)"
"This location should be an embarrassment to the company. For the safety and well being of my pets it's a must to find a veterinarian/staff who are actually competent and capable of providing BASIC services!!! What a disappointment... but based off the previous reviews what more should I have expected. Banfield/Petsmart no need to reach out or offer any type of apologies as your actions has left an indefinite disgusting experience for our family and pets."
"Warning: Long review ahead. It's been a little while since the incident, but I needed some time to collect myself before writing this. I brought my 10 year old German Shepherd in to the Landstown Banfield location on 12/20 for an urgent care visit because it was very close to the holidays and her usual Banfield location wasn't able to take her. She presented with mild symptoms of lethargy, lack of appetite, drinking a lot of water/increased bathroom usage, and occasionally off color gums. They did a standard urinalysis to check for a UTI as well as some other test that required an ultrasound machine and a needle to be stuck directly into her bladder (or so I was told). Both of her urine samples came back clear. They ran blood work, which they said showed a "low platelet count and a slightly elevated white blood cell count". They recommended sending a sample off to the lab. Fine. No problem. When my fiance picked her up, she was a little worse for wear but happy to be home. She was still occasionally lethargic, still not that hungry, but her demeanor seemed happy enough. Since the sample was sent off so close to Christmas, I didn't hear back until December 29th (understandable, due to the holidays). The vet that spoke to me said that the bloodwork results were fairly inconclusive (slightly elevated white count, platelet clumping, nothing major of note) and that she appeared to be having an immune reaction to something. She recommended I get follow up bloodwork done as soon as I could. Preferably within a week. I was out of town, but would return home the next day. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that when I called her her regular vet, they would take one look at her bloodwork results and tell me that I should bypass the follow up appointment and instead take my pet to the ER immediately because the bloodwork that was received on 12/29 showed that she had an extremely elevated white count and was anemic. The ER vet that took her said they're really not sure how her splenic mass and internal bleeding were missed. Thankfully her spleen hadn't completely ruptured yet, so she was saved from that terrible pain. However, it was evident that my poor baby had been slowly bleeding internally since her initial urgent visit on 12/20. My sweet girl passed peacefully in my arms a few minutes after she received her diagnosis. I'm grateful for every second I had with her and would have kept her forever if possible, but I am not a selfish dog mom. Had I been properly informed of her condition, I would have ended her suffering much sooner, no matter how close to the holidays it was. I have a lot of patience with vets. I know it's a hard, thankless job where the patients can't speak to tell you exactly what's wrong. That being said, this is inexcusable. For their own safety, I'll never bring any of my pets back to this location. Signed, A heartbroken dog mom"
"I can’t say enough good things about the Banfield Landstown Team! I will forever bring all my pets there and ONLY there, including future pets. I love ALL 4 Veterinarians! Dr. Clark and Dr. Smith have been the only ones that can do a blood draw for one of my dogs who is a difficult stick. They’re all so patient, loving and kind. They truly love your pet as their own. Not to mention all the vet assistants, vet techs and front desk staff that help keep the hospital functioning. I can’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for my pets. I’ve referred multiple people to switch locations and they all will not go to any other locations now. The vets are thorough!"
"I received excellent experience from Check in process to the check out. Dr Dinger, Virginia and Maddie showed professionalism and kindness in a great way. I live quite a distance from this location, they made the trip worth the distance in an excellent manner!!! Thank you all! I’m appreciative."
