"I had made reservations for 2 nights. October 27 & 28. My credit card company declined the charge as fraudulent. The manager called to let me know, but I was in the middle of dealing with some business from my father’s passing and told him that. He saved my credit card information in a digital wallet and charged my card 3 different times. I NEVER AUTHORIZED HIM TO SAVE MY INFORMATION NOR DID I AUTHORIZE HIM TO RECHARGE MY CREDIT CARD. When I emailed about this he was extremely rude and said he took it personally offensive that I would think about posting about this on social media. Really, isn’t that what reviews are for? To tell others about the bad and the good? To this day he continues to recharge my credit card. Which I have been disputing. If you want good customer service go to a hotel with better customer service. Or you could end up in this situation. The credit card company is still reviewing my dispute the have not made a final decision FYI. You have already lost several customers due to the incident and I’m sure you will lose more once they read this review. And forgive me if I did not make myself clear after the death of my father my mind was not as clear as it would have been under normal circumstances. I’m also positive during the call you could tell that as I did explain I was taking care of some business that needed to be dealt with after my father’s death. You’re a poor excuse of a businessman and one who will never get my business nor the business of anyone I know."

"My wife and I stayed there last this past weekend for the Christmas Market on Main, Viking Festival and Christmas Boat Parade. The llocation was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful plus the remodeling looked great. We had a waterfront room with excellent views and good restaurants nearby in walking distance. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was a nice way to start the day. Thank you, Matt, Ferren and the Staff for your hard work and keeping alive a great place to stay in a beautiful town. Great Job !! Guy & Kathy"

"I thoroughly enjoyed and loved my stay at Yorktown Beach Hotel. It was a memorable trip as it was the first sisters weekend get away for my sister and I. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and courteous, I felt like a member of the family. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The location is perfect and within walking distance of the restaurants and attractions. I definitely plan to stay there again."

"The location is perfect, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms could stand with a deep carpet cleaning though. Our bare feet and our infant daughters palms and knees turned black within a few minutes of moving around the room."
