"Last year when I stayed I gave this hotel a five star rating. The service all around was fantastic. The hotel is still very clean, and the location is close to so many Southside locations. The four rating was because in our room there was a crack in the ceiling where there was an obvious leak right above the bed. Someone tried to patch it and did a poor job. The white paint that was used for touch up didn't match. Also, the burlap looking bottom mattress cover looked like a cat used it as a scratching post. Lastly, the ceiling light bulb between the bed and bathroom was burnt out. These are easy fixes, but only if management is visiting rooms and paying attention. I hope to leave a five star rating next time I stay."

"Jackpot!! This hotel is directly across the street from Johnston-Willis Hospital, in a safe area, off of a major thoroughfare. It is beautiful (inside and out)! • Large lobby, with lots of tables and seating. • Nice kitchenette in room, with full size refrigerator, plus large microwave, deep sinks, coffee makers and electric stove, pots & pans, plates, cups and forks. Our room had a nice living room area, with pull-out sofa, a large swivel tv that you can watch from the sofa or the bed and lots of drawer space. Beautiful large shower. Great place to stay, while in town for a family member’s emergency surgery at the local hospital. Thank you, Dominique (front desk) for your kindness, as we dealt with an emergency!"

"We stayed at the hotel next door, but our team was split between hotels. We found this to have a nicer atmosphere with nice seating outdoors with a fire pit, a nice community room and a nice indoor pool. They also said included a continental breakfast for guests, with the DoubleTree charged their guests $15 for if we are in the area next time we'll stay here."
