Holiday Inn Express Richmond E - Midlothian Trnpke, an IHG Hotel

"The staff is friendly but that’s all this hotel has to offer. It was dirty from top to bottom. The bed comforter had yellow pee stains, the tub had hair, mold in AC unit, dirt in the carpet, the ceiling seems to be falling apart, and the tile in the bathroom is broken. The location is in a good spot so you have that. Save your money and look elsewhere."

"Very disappointed. The beds are the only thing going for them. Bathroom was dirty, moldy slime in all the cracks and crevices of the tub surround. You can tell housekeeping just does the bare minimum to get the job done and there hasn't been any kind of deep cleaning or update for a very long time. Breakfast was fine, staff nice, but I could have had the same experience at The Best Western and saved $30 a night, or spent a few extra bucks and had stayed at Hyatt Place or Sheraton 4 Points and had no worries."

"We originally chose this hotel because the app indicated that there was AV charging available however they don’t have it and we only found that out after we got there and had already made a reservation. The service was nice. The receptionist was helpful and gave us another room right away when we mentioned that our initial room had a strong musty scent, it smelled like feet. The second room was slightly better but neither looked clean. The second toilet was disgusting, it had hair pieces and left over dried pee on the edges. I couldn’t even take a picture of it without gagging. I didn’t care for the scent of the sheets either. Breakfast had very limited options, we a lot of the items already gone by 8:30am. No famous pancake machine in sight, which I was super disappointed about."

"Great location, great pillows, but otherwise pretty shabby. Mold on the AC unit, mold on the shower curtain, air ducts are completely covered in dust and dirt. Rusted appliances in the room. Not the worst place I've stayed but absolutely lower tier for a Holiday Inn Express."
