"My husband and I went antique shopping and stopped in Yellow gate....we were followed all throughout the store, I don't carry a pocketbook for fear of bumping into something. BTW my husband and I are over 60...why the need to stand on top of us while we shop. Never again."

"Edited review 8/3/23 I ended up only needing to make a 20 minute detour from somewhere I went this morning to try Yellow Gate again. This time they were open and it was a great experience. The owner is very friendly and personable. They have a great collection of items that span the spectrum of "antiques." It's definitely worth a visit. When you go, remember to look up! Upgraded from 1 to 4 stars. Definitely 5 stars if they had been open when I went before. Original review: Planned my Saturday around going to Yellowgate place. I got there at 1130 on Saturday. They were closed. I called the phone number. The gentleman told me they would be open around 1230 to 1. I drove to Petersburg, had lunch, and wasted some time before driving back. I got there at 12:50. They were still closed. I waited until 1. They didn't open. I wouldn't go here as a destination place. Maybe, if you are driving through and they happen to be open, it would be worth it. Wasted a half a day and all that gas."
