"The 108/107 condo is adorable. Loved all the hooks for towels and coats, the shoe bench, central to everything. Enjoyed the sauna, hot tubs, and fitness room as well."
"Normally, these are decent rooms for the price, but this trip disappointed. Definitely got an older room this time. Lighting was very dim and hard to see anything. The wall mounted blow dryer in the bathroom was hanging off. There was a lamp I had to unplug because there was no switch controlling the outlet, and the switch on the lamp was broken. Roku kept going back to the main menu in the middle of movies at night. Still way better than commuting to the mountain though."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our summer stay at Rimfire Lodge in Snowshoe was truly an unforgettable experience. The lodge, nestled amidst verdant landscapes, provided a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. As we approached, the pristine environment, chirping birds, and the gentle rustle of leaves painted a picture of a summer paradise. The rooms at the lodge were a delightful blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Each was spacious, airy, and featured panoramic views of the lush green mountains and valleys. We often found ourselves lounging on the balcony, soaking in the sun and the serenity. What truly set Rimfire apart was its exceptional staff. Always ready with a smile, they were a treasure trove of information about local summer activities, hiking trails, and must-visit spots. Every recommendation they provided was spot-on, making our stay even richer. The on-site dining options were impressive. With a focus on fresh, local produce, every meal was a delightful culinary journey. Whether we were savoring a light salad or indulging in a hearty dinner, the flavors were impeccable. Rimfire Lodge's location is its trump card during the summer months. We took advantage of the numerous hiking and biking trails nearby, each offering a unique perspective of Snowshoe's breathtaking summer beauty. The evenings were spent by the communal fire pit, sharing stories with fellow travelers and gazing at the starlit sky. In conclusion, a summer stay at Rimfire Lodge in Snowshoe promises an ideal mix of relaxation, adventure, and nature's beauty. It's a haven for those looking to connect with the great outdoors while enjoying the comforts of a top-notch lodge. A definite must-visit!"
"I'm giving it 3 stars because of location only. The public parts of it definitely haven't been touched in decades. We stayed this past week in room 256 on the Southside - a 1 bedroom unit with pullout couch. The room itself was just blah. The pull out couch has got to be over 10 years old and was just miserable for my 2 tweens. I couldn't imagine a full size adult sleeping in it. The bedroom bed was also very uncomfortable and the pillows were horrendous. The master bedroom TV never worked and the one in the living room was frustrating because of its weak signal.. so watching a movie after a day of skiing took forever. Though you have a private router in the room.. it most likely shared the bandwidth with other guest. Finally, it was very hot. Although we lowered the temperature we still had to open the window and bedroom door for air flow. There are no fans so the air is hot, dry, and still. The great thing is the location. You can't beat it. Right smack in the village, very close to the slopes, but far enough where you don't hear the snow blowing equipment at night. Though the humorous drunkards walking by led to hearing some very funny conversations. The garage was also great and I highly recommend it. Though it cost$20 a night, it was -11 degrees when we left, it was easy to load the car, I didn't have to scrape it or warm it up. I couldn't imagine doing that in that in the temperature we were experiencing and with the high winds. Would I stay here again? ONLY if I was guaranteed an updated room. They are all individually owned, so it's kinda like a box of chocolates, you just never know what you are doing to get."
"Cool place to stay in the heart of snowshoe village. Easy walk to the slopes, shops and restaurants, yet still a small village experience. The place is just a little dated, but more than adequate for a 4-day stay. There is garage parking, but it's $20 a day now. My room had a Murphy bed, a couch, small fridge, small stove, and a microwave. I mostly ate in the room and that worked out really well. When I was there, the restaurants closed quite early."
