"We stayed in Oct 2023 and it was phenomenal. Exactly what we were looking for. - quiet, surrounded by fall colors and with a fire pit. Everything was clean and Mark was an awesome and very helpful host. We ever saw a river otter."
"Had a fantastic trip at Sullivans Camp Cacapon! Mark was friendly and informative about the area and the site, he had everything thought out and planned before we got there which made it easy to navigate the weekend. Having clean, pleasant restrooms on site definitely added a nice touch for our group and being that we rented the pavilion with a fireplace, that saved our trip as it rained a good majority of the weekend. We would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a campground in the Great Cacapon area!"
"Outstanding little getaway. Clean, quiet, peaceful, and on a great stretch of river. Bathrooms are extremely clean. Camp host showed up and greeted us as soon as we arrived and made sure we knew where everything was. Will be back again."
"Camp Sullivan is a hidden treasure, it’s incredibly private in a beautiful valley right next to the river. The campsite is VERY clean and well maintained, all the sites are gorgeous (definitely recommend one by the river) and the feeling of safety is huge and secure, even with no on site staff, there are cameras everywhere and the host keeps in close contact (Plus the locked gate at the entrance helps with that). Also close enough to town that if we had to run to get supplies it would be a quick trip. Truly a gem! We had zero complaints and will be back every year!"
"Awesome and secluded place to tent camp! This place gave me the "backcountry wilderness" experience that is not common on the East Coast. There was rain when I visited, but the tent pad area stayed dry and was well draining. There were BBQ grills available. For campfires, there was a personal as well as a group campfire pit area. I grabbed a $5 bundle of firewood on the road into the campsite. I liked that there was a locking gate into the campground. The host was very available via text and email. The hill from the parking area to the camping area is steep but clearly marked. Once you are down in the camp, it is a magical and quiet place! I really enjoyed looking at the night sky and hearing the wildlife along the creek. It was a good, secluded place to stay at while also visiting the town of Berkeley Springs and surrounding areas."
