"Check-in was horrendous. We checked in day 1 and got 0 of our accommodations/free summer fun day activity pass until day 2. The person at check-in did not inform us of any of it. We spent the whole day wondering around being told to go to different stations. Seemed like nobody knew what was going on. We had an entire first day wasted. Our family drove very long and far to come to snow shoe mountain."
"Visited for a day trip of snowboarding. Really enjoyed it, staff were friendly, lifts were operated quickly, piste was well groomed and maintained, good level of snow for the time of year and temperature. A good variety of slopes. Would recommend."
"Top of the World unit 323. Newly restored with an awesome view of the mountains and slopes. Soaring Eagle Express lift drops you right there. Great birthday ski trip. Highly recommended."
"I have visited this resort many times over the past 30 years. This time decided to actually stay on the property. It was a complete disappointment from the get-go. Arriving at 4:00 p.m. which the website said was check in time and waiting an hour only to be told that in actual fact check in time was 5:00 p.m. which happened to be the time it was since it took us an hour to get through the line. We were told that we would have to get in line again in the next hour or two because our rental unit was not ready. We decided to go eat an early dinner at the Appalachian kitchen where we were rudely told that we needed a reservation. When I explained that no where on the website did it say that their restaurant needed to have a reservation, as is the case with Prime 10 and where I had made a reservation for the next night. I was rudely told that they were not affiliated with snowshoe resorts and that was why they were not listed as needing a reservation. Needless to say we chose not to eat at that restaurant our entire stay. We next went to pick up our rental gear. Everything went smoothly however I found out the next day that I was in the wrong place to receive the upgraded rental equipment I had paid extra for. The next morning when I went to cancel the upgraded equipment I was told I could not do that and would have to take my equipment to the place where I picked it up and then show up at the pro shop where I would be able to receive the proper gear. I refused and demanded a refund because I was not about to stand in 2 more lines to fix their error. After he consulted with another employee I was then allowed the refund. Now it was time to wait in another line for 1 and a half hours to finish our check in. With key in hand we went to the unit only to be unable to get into the area because a gate prevented access. I drove my car onto a pedestrian walkway to gain access to the area we needed to get to to finally get in our condo. On calling multiple numbers with no answer which we experienced the entire stay, one number being a mobile whose voicemail was full so no message could be left, I finally went in person to where we checked in and after waiting again for someone to finally figure out how we could get a gate key we finally were set. The Prime 10 restaurant meal was also disappointing, apparently if you order a rare steak you have to specify “cold red middle” or else you will be given a warm pink middle, this was according to the manager who asked how everything was and took offense when I pointed out that none of our steaks were rare. We chose to cook the rest of our meals. The skiing was okay, black slopes were very icy for some reason. The powder monkey condo was amazing as was the treat to step out on skis and down the slope."
"A first year visit has turned into a yearly skiing trip, making this a now family tradition for us! And if they say to come on even if it is warm, listen to them! They do an awesome job until better weather arrives!"
