"Our daughter has been at ABC since she was a baby (she is 4 years-old, now). She is happy and comfortable there, and we have always been confident that she is safe and excited to be there with many friends that greet her every morning, teachers and students alike. Her teachers have also been available to babysit on a private level, in our home, outside of school hours. I love that they have a student art sho once a year and invite parents and grandparents to come see all of the kid's work from throughout he year. I have recommended them to a number of friends, and will continue to do so. I've felt downright lucky to have found them!"
"I can't say much except that we found one of their children sleeping unattended on the playground at Abner Clay Park. The child was left sleeping on the slide after their class went in. Over ten minutes went by and they had not even realized. We figured the sleeping baby was with the nanny and other child playing at the park. When I commented on how cute the sleeping baby was, the nanny said she thought the baby was mine. It was at this point we realized the baby belonged to the preschool. The preschool took their time to open the door when we rang the doorbell. They had no clue a child was missing. Pretty scary incident. Surely places makes mistakes, but this one was too big to ignore."
"I am very grateful to Melissa and every one of the amazing teachers at ABC. I moved to Richmond to start a new job. My daughter was 1.5 years old and we were very attached to each other. Up till then, I had been a stay-home mother with our first and only child. She was beyond spoilt. Loved her bottle, had three lambies (not just one), and spoke only Spanish. Everyone at ABC was so patient with her, loving, and caring. Now, at 2.5 years old our daughter knows the colors, shapes, numbers, body parts in English. She knows a lot of songs in English too (Old McDonald, Five little monkeys, Happy birthday, Wheels on the bus, Twinkle twinkle little star... to name a few). We still speak only Spanish at home. She has a "pack" of close friends and she is just a happy girl when I pick her up every day. I think the magic of ABC relies on how flexible they are with each child's needs and times. Thank you very much to all the hard working, loving, and patient teachers at ABC!"
"My wife and I are very picky. We spent a lot of time looking at different daycare options before we lucked into finding A Blooming Child. Many of those other places literally frightened us, with dingy digs, crying kids, and small play areas. When you enter A Blooming Child, the difference is immediately noticeable. The facility is large, the teachers are warm and caring, and the children are genuinely enjoying themselves. We felt so relieved the moment we found this daycare. We only have one child, and the thought of leaving her with anyone else terrified us. But we have no fears dropping her off here. That is a huge burden off of our backs, and thank you to all of the wonderful people at A Blooming Child who make that possible. We can't properly express our gratitude for what you all do everyday. Anyway, we can't recommend this daycare enough. The price is a bargain for the level of care and service they provide."
"I love having my daughter there. They have great hours, the teachers and teacher assistants are the kindest. They have taught my daughter patience and helped with her with sharing. They work with the individual needs of the kids. I also love that it is a local day care and not a chain/corporate facility, so they can grow and develop based on the needs of the children. I also love how the director, Melissa, is so involved. I couldn't be happier!"
