"I can’t imagine a better venue in Virginia Beach to host a wedding than MOCA. In fact, a guest at our wedding loved it so much she decided to host her wedding here this year! The space is absolutely incredible, both inside and out. Our pictures are truly magical. You can’t beat the amount of things that come included–from the full-service kitchen, to the tables and chairs, to the colored up-lighting in the Atrium. And the price is incredibly reasonable/on the lower end of venues in the area. We chose to have our ceremony and reception in the Atrium space, and our planning and catering team had no trouble flipping the space between the two while we had the cocktail hour outdoors. Kay is a true delight to work with, providing advice and flexibility where we needed it."
"A lovely collection of contemporary art, including local artists. I’ll keep this on my “must see” list for future visits to VB. Easy parking, free entry, and friendly staff and volunteers. Photography (no flash) is allowed. The space was bright and airy and felt much larger that it looked from the exterior. I loved the benches and chairs tucked here and there, great spaces to enjoy the exhibits or sit with your sketch pad and create. The museum is the anchor to the ViBe Creative District."
"I really enjoyed this museum. It was my first time visiting and I would visit again. Some of the art was really amazing. The details were intricate, the environment was relaxing and I didn’t feel overwhelmed with things to see. I would definitely recommend."
"We were greeted with utmost respect, warmth, and hospitality. They showcase the local talents in a great way, as well as minority artists. I wanted to buy their souvenir coffee mugs but had no cash, so they gifted it to me for free. Please carry some cash if you want to donate to them."
"Very nice place to go and has interactive activities for children. I thought it was a very cute place to go especially for relaxing. It was free for us to go in since the Virginia Beach City pays for this place to stay open and up. It’s a small but good Museum for your day on vacation when you want to relax and just enjoy art and what it offers to your mind. It had different types of art too, painting, prints, sculpture, and videos! All loved and appreciated. They also have a cute gift shop full of books and stickers! Very nice place and would come back again one day in the future."
