"I have been taking the Kickboxing class for over 2 years and still love it just as much as I did on day 1. The instructors are helpful and make each class new and fun. I've also met an amazing group of people through my classes!"
"BMK in Bridgewater is just absolutely amazing!!! Mr. Mayes and Mr. Miller have mastered making personal connections with the students and parents in their program. The staff is supportive, patient, and genuinely interested in the growth of our children. Karate has given our son an activity in his life that he is proud of and shines in...on the mat and at home. Our daughter is stepping out of her comfort zone and building her confidence each and every class. We are so blessed to have this program in our lives!"
"Such a great place to be a part of!!! I take kickboxing and my boys are in the martial arts program. The kickboxing instructors are the best, always challenging you to do/be your best. Great workout every single time. The martial arts program for the kids sets them up to do the best they can overall in life. BMK is very family oriented and they make you feel like part of the family from day one. Thanks for bringing a great program to Bridgewater"
"We enrolled our son Jadien at Bryan Mayes Karate in Bridgewater in August on 2017. As parents we had some concerns when it came to our so . Jadien had a low self confidence level. He would be too quick to say things we too hard and would always say I can’t do it. Since jade has been enrolled in the Bridgewater class, he has changed in so many ways. His self confidence levels has grown and you can just see it in his smile. His perseverance has sky rocketed. He no longer says that things are too hard, but they are now challenging... and he will tell us that he’s not only going to give 100%, but instead he’s going to give it a 110% when achieving his goals. And his ultimate goal now is to become a member of the black belt club. We wanted to give a big THANKS to the Bridgewater crew, Master Mayes, Mr Chad Miller and Mr Bryan Hodges for all of the encouragement that has molded Jadien into the young man that he has become. We can’t wait to see how far he can go!"
"My family was introduced to Brian Mayes Karate several years ago when my little brother, Albie, took his first class. Albie fell in love with karate and his instructors instantly. They were all so welcoming and helpful - they all made us feel like we were a part of their family. Albie looked forward to his classes each and every week, always eager to find out what he was going to learn that night. Each stripe that Albie earned was as exciting to him as when he earned his first stripe - he would jump high up in the air, scream, and run towards his instructor with enormous enthusiasm as they added a stripe to his belt. Belt promotions were even more intense for him - with each belt, we could see his confidence exploding and his determination growing. Albie took each step towards his black belt with a huge smile on his face that would light up the room. His energy would fill the room! Sadly, my brother’s story was cut short with his unexpected passing in 2010. It goes without saying that this was the most difficult thing our family had ever been through. The love and support our family received from the Brian Mayes Karate family was overwhelming. They were all so caring and respectful - and they stayed by our family’s side through this very difficult time. They honored my brother with a Japanese maple and a memorial stone placed in front of the studio. Albie truly left his mark with Brian Mayes Karate. A while later my mom, Tammy, started her black belt journey in honor of her son, Albie. Once again, our family was welcomed back to the Brian Mayes Karate family with open arms. I am proud to say that, after a lot of hard work and determination, in January 2014, I was able to see that awesome black belt get tied around my mom. Her journey continues with the Brian Mayes Karate family as she has decided that she is not just a black belt, but a Martial Artist. This week, my husband and I have started our black belt journey with this amazing studio and look forward to the memories we will be making. When our daughter turns 3, we plan to enroll her as well so she too can feel the excitement and the energy that I got to see in my brother and my mom. I am so thankful that my family was introduced to the amazing instructors and students at Brian Mayes Karate and proud to be a part of this Martial Arts family!"
