"Alivio has taken our horses to the next level. Tina’s keen eye and exceptional talent with horses has allowed us to achieve balance and symmetry in our horses. She has a horse first mindset, always doing what is best for the horse. Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn a true foundation or advance their knowledge to the next level."
"I highly recommend Tina Legno for horse training and classical horsemanship. My 23 yr old mare and I have been working with Tina a couple of years. I was a very novice rider when I started with Tina and this mare is my first horse. Tina truly understands the biomechanics of the horse and the rider. She identified weaknesses causing issues for my horse and taught me techniques to help build-up my horse’s top line and hind end strength. She has helped me to develop a better understanding of how my body needs to move with my horse. The groundwork I’ve learned with Tina has greatly improved my relationship with my horse, my overall horsemanship and my horse’s health and well-being. What a difference working with Tina has made: My horse looks so much better and we are both much happier together!"
"I've been working with Tina for about 8 months now and am so thrilled to find such an instructor focused on classical horsemanship. I appreciate the focus on the building blocks that create balance and harmony, and when it all comes together it is truly a thing of beauty. I've ridden on and off for 40 years and there is no way I'd go back to another way of riding again. I drive over an hour each way to get to her barn and its worth it. Tina's horses are loved beyond measure and it shows. Definitely recommended for those who want to learn how to ride in balance and partnership with the horse."
"I am continually thrilled to work with Tina. She offers an insight into horses and their biomechanics that is unparalleled. She has helped our horses learn how to use their bodies correctly for balanced riding and a long, happy life. We have purchased ponies that Tina trained who are incredibly schoolmasters. Tina has also helped correct the imbalances in our horses so that they can thrive. Tina doesn’t just train, she educates and teaches so that we can continue her good work in between sessions, so crucial for the horses’ success. I have learned more from her than any other instructor/trainer I have worked with and our horses are improving so beautifully."
"When my daughter decided she wanted to learn how to ride horses, I began my search for just the right trainer. I visited two before I was invited to visit Alivio Equestrian Academy. I wanted my daughter to be safe on the school horses, the teacher to be knowledgeable and professional, and for the horses to be well cared for and happy doing their job. I found all three with Tina! I first noticed she is very careful about safety. Helmets, proper handling, fitting the stirrups correctly for every ride were just a few of the things she made sure happened. Next I noticed how she was not just teaching my daughter to ride, but she was creating a TEAM. Human/horse. It is amazing what her eye can see... the rider’s hip the slightest bit out of place correcting the movement of the horse. It is truly an amazing sight to see! Because I found her work so fascinating, I found myself sticking around after lessons to watch her work horses. Some just needing a little tweaking, some needing help physically, others being transformed for behavior problems- but all with great care, gentleness and always communicating with the horse in a way that the horse understands and is comfortable with. Again, amazing to watch horses transform over time. After three years at Alivio, my daughter has gone on to explore other Activities, but I continue to follow Tina’s great work with horses and rider and she should be your first choice for your child learning to ride, you learning to ride, solving behavior problems, expanding your horsemanship skills, and perfecting ‘the circle.’ (Very important!) Highly recommend!"
