"I am 100% p$t dav, I stayed at bolder crest back in 2015- we could only go because my boyfriend at time was a guy , retired army. The director didn't even acknowledge me as a veteran, only my boyfriend- who was not 100%. Mst survivors are 67% more likely to develop ptsd and have thoughts of suicide than combat veterans. I don't have anything nice to say about how I was treated."
"Life changing experience at this retreat designed for struggling Veterans. Post traumatic Growth is very real. We are not a diagnosis. We are Warriors. We need you back in the fight. This program will get you there! If you are ready to put in the work. Struggle Well."
"I finished initiation today. This is an amazing place for those who want to get better. We had someone leave after 12 hours because he didn’t feel pampered enough. He admitted to being a professional wounded warrior, and honestly wouldn’t surprise me if at best he doesn’t want to get better and at worst is faking his deployment issues. After 12 years in the army and losing friends in Iraq I have struggled for years to adjust to life as a civilian. I refused to admit I had a problem, mostly because there were other who had it much worse. The struggle left me suicidal, broke, and hopeless. Boulder Crest offers a holistic approach to retraining veterans, active duty, and first responders, that will give people tools to struggle well, with the ultimate goal of living the life you deserve. If you’re a combat veteran and struggling with purpose, identity, and a place to fit it, boulder crest will help you, provided you want to be helped."
"Amazing place amazing organization. BILLY HORR below wanted a pampered vacation in lieu of actual training to make himself better. This clown left after the first day and is trying to smear this great organization. 10-10 would recommend every veteran that is struggling to reach out. These are some of the best humans I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. This is training not counseling."
"It’s been about a 3 years. I was suffering from anxiety, depression etc. off and on. When you are so used to looking out for others and being darn good at it I struggled with asking and needing help. I experienced what they referred to as “post traumatic growth”. Rounding out my time with group and individual talk , yoga, TRX exercise, meditation, archery, horseback riding and numerous other outdoor activities helped build the mind body connection. I would go on to make TRX and yoga a weekly part of my life. Having faith in those (and God) who are trying to help you is very important. It was a long-term commitment I needed to make and I did. I am now benefiting from my hard work."
