"Not allowing someone to pray for the teachers and students is not against the law...it's actually against the constitution to prohibit someone from pray.... God's watching the decisions that are being made there and across our country. School boards across our country needs to be reconstructed to look out for the Best interest of the children in their district."
"Higher up administration needs to address the shortage on transportation. It’s getting ridiculous and the buses are continuously late by 1-2 hours picking up and dropping off students EVERY SINGLE DAY! Children are arriving to school hours late after breakfast has already been stopped serving. This has been an issue for well over a year now. There is no excuse. Please pay your drivers a fair wage or get out from behind your desks and help with the shortage. It’s sad that fast food restaurants pay their employees much more than a government facility that operates with tax payers money and yet children are not being picked up for school and falling behind on their studies that is required by the state."
"They just don't seem to care. My concern for my children doesn't seem to be reciprocated since moving to this school division. A bus driver decides to flip out and kicks my son off the bus for no reason in front of the principal I might add, and nobody even calls to let me know. I tried to call and find out what happened and everybody is gone for the weekend. So I call the SB and they told me to call the school and talk to the principal. Umm.... why do you think im calling you guys...because nobody is there. Wow! So I guess I have to wait until Monday to find what exactly happened and why my son got yelled at and left behind the second week at his new school."
"Well I'm writing this review because The Suffolk School Board Office and Members as well as Kings Fork High School Staff are by far the WORST SCHOOLING SYSTEM I have ever dealt with. For instance I called the School Board Office for assistance with issues I had with the High school staff and after weeks of getting the run around as well as asking for Superintendents to get back with me because my family was diagnosed with Covid 19 I have waited a month for a resolution and still no calls. But I am supposed to trust them with my children's education and they can't answer or return a phone call let alone care."
"I find Suffolk Public School's virtual training environment lacking two way communication. Why can faculty, seated at computers daily sending emails to students and parents, fail to respond to parents or even students? Because this is common to THREE Suffolk Public Schools, it gives the appearance of policy. Having spent two weeks at home, I also witnessed first hand the snarky attitude of some teachers toward the students. Granted, the pandemic has created a challenge for educators whose occupation I truly respect and admire. However, professionalism and human decency should not be traits we sacrifice."
