Portofino Ristorante Italiano

"Spent over 91$ for dinner for my family—two orders of pasta and it was severely over cooked. Overpriced “full” salad with half of the advertised items left out and literally 1/2 the size than the side salads that came —included “crispy chicken” (a processed chicken patty sliced into thin strips). Also received undercooked French fries, and a disgustingly undercooked and soggy appetizer platter all smushed into a mass of soggy breading. For this type of money, the food should at least be edible. Sorely disappointed-and will not ever order from here again. I understand one mistake—but an entire meal this awful for a hundred dollars is thievery."

"Had dinner which consisted of a pizza and an appetizer! Everything was really good! The atmosphere is what you can expect... nothing particularly out of the ordinary for an Italian restaurant, but its worth mentioning everything looked clean! However, what can set a restaurant apart from another is its service and this is where Portofino's excelled! Our waitress, "Hope" was on it!! My drink remained full, she had a smile on her face the whole time, was friendly... in all, a great waitress that made for a great evening out. She even talked us into some ice-cream (which I typically don't eat), but was glad she did! That was great as well! We will be back!"

"What a great little place in a tiny strip mall off the beaten path in Montpelier! Our server, Hope, was attentive and super friendly and their pizza was pretty yummy, too! Head over there on Tuesdays for half price pizza night! Will definitely be back!"

"Took a couple of my guys here for lunch the other day. Service (Hope) was great. She was very friendly (always smiling) and attentive - she checked in on us several times - refilling drinks and making sure we had everything we needed. We ordered a large pizza and an Italian sub. The pizza was pretty good but we thought the sub was a little over priced for what we received. It had lettuce, Italian dressing, onions and ham. We thought it was missing some additional meats and it didn't come with chips or fries. Hope was very forthcoming and did tell us nothing came with it when the sub was ordered. But we thought it was a little odd as most places at least give you a small bag of chips when you order a sandwich."
