Chix on the Beach

"Stopped by Chix for dinner on a Wednesday night since it was right next to the hotel I was staying at. Surprisingly the place was packed for it being a weekday! We were seated right away but after that the service was abysmal. Our waitress took quite a while to come by and get our order, by then we were ready to order our meal too so we did it in one go in case she took even longer to come back for our food order. I got the bacon cheeseburger and my husband ordered their clams. I also got their Caribbean crush drink and my husband ordered a beer. Our drinks arrived fairly quickly. I will say, I am not impressed at all with their alcoholic beverages. The flavor was off and didn’t taste like the flavor profiles described on the menu. The bacon cheeseburger was good, but it’s pretty hard to mess up a burger. My husband said the clams were good too. Honestly I probably would not come back here. Their drinks were awful and the food was just ok. The service was very slow. I think we saw our waitress twice. Once to take out order and again to bring the bill. I absolutely DO NOT recommend Chix on the Beach."

"This restaurant is the perfect spot along the boardwalk. I enjoyed that the view was of the beach and, even more, I enjoyed the food. I ordered the blacked tacos with the chips and a side of queso. The tacos were amazing and I always enjoy eating chips, salsa, and queso. Adding the salsa to the tacos is the frosting of the cake. You should try it for yourself. The calamari was also well fried and it was not chewy. It's hard to get the perfect fried calamari, but it was much better than many other restaurants I have tried."

"Food and drinks were so-so. The seafood was most likely from the freezer. The scallops, shrimp & cod didn't have any flavor. The crab cake, fries, hush puppies & coleslaw were very good. Oh, the spinach dip was good also. I had one of their seasonal drinks. It had loads of ice in it. I didn't care for it. Our server did a good job & was friendly. (Ariel, Ashley, Amber...? Sorry, I forgot her name but it did start with an "A"!) The atmosphere was lively which is expected when it's a Saturday afternoon with the Neptune Festival happening. (I highly recommend going to the festival.)"

"This place was awesome. Loved the outdoor dining right on the boardwalk on the beach. The serve was quick & attentative. The food had a wonderful flavor & presentation. The atmosphere was very pleasant with a calm, relaxing, and fun atmosphere with a friendly demeanor. Great place to hang with friends & family. Definitely would recommend eating here!!"
