"The food was very good, but the owners were weirdly stand offish. Very strong vibes that I was somehow bothering them and not welcome? Again, the food was great, especially the miso. But Nara down the road on Independence treats you like family."
"Low-key mom-and-pop atmosphere. The sushi rolls here are B-I-G, the fish quality is fresh, and the owners are sooo friendly. The owners have been very friendly to my little toddler. My family eats here around once a month and love bringing our visitors here. I've tried most of their rolls now and I can say they are all great. My favorites are the Crunch Munch, Temptation, Unagi Special, Sushi on the Beach, and Virginia Beach roll. Their poke bowl resembles more of a salad with rice. There are a lot of vegetables."
"I have been to my fair share of Sushi places across the world. This one has THE best portions I have ever seen. Was expecting small hasomaki-sized tuna and salmon rolls to augment a rainbow roll - ended up all.full sized! Great seasoning on the rice too. Miso for $2 was one of the most packed you will see. Highly recommend!"
"Fantastic dinner. This place is not to be missed. Such a small and comfortable location. I greatly appreciated the food, service and ambiance. We opted for several rolls and the sashimi appetizer. I just can't say enough great things about this amazing sushi cafe."
"We stopped by here for dinner one night. A friend recommended it. We were unsure about it at first because we are particular with our "sushi spots". The restaurant is small but had a nice comfortable vibe. We were surprised about how much we enjoyed it. Our server was super friendly. He was attentive and welcoming. They gave us miso soup to start out and it was not something we ordered so that was also a nice surprise. We agreed we will be coming back."
