"I was so anxious to eat my brisket sandwich and collard greens, I forgot to take pics of my food. My apologies. All of my food was delicious. Everyone who works here is polite, accommodating, and welcoming. Customer service is VERY important to me, and they exceeded my expectations. They also keep the place clean, including the restroom. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu."

"Came here with the family and we all enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Parking and the location was easy to find. We entered and was greeted by a gentleman and was instantly welcomed. We sat down and looked over the menu and he made some recommendations since it was our first time there. My husband and I both had the platter. He got the brisket with double fries since he was sharing with our son and I had the ribs with coleslaw and fries. The peach whiskey sauce was delicious. The meats were tender and had that amazing smoked taste. The sweet potatoe roll was addicting it is something that you can eat everyday and not get sick of. My daughter tasted the brisket and the ribs and her eyes lit up. She’s only 7 months and was asking for more. Overall we had a very delicious meal at a reasonable price and will be recommending this place to all our friends and family when we visit. This was well worth the drive for us from NC."

"Taste of Texas was great. Meat was tender packed with the Smokey flavor. What I like most about this place is that it's not your normal chain restaurant. The man working literally talked about how he spent time creating the flavors. Which made want to buy a big platter to taste test. I tried the creamed corn and it was unique and super comforting. Just as the sweet potato rolls was a delicious interesting replacement from corn bread. I got two sauces one black cherry one vinegar I recommend the cherry bbq flavourful its not to sweet and very mild . I found this place as a recommendation from my aunt."

"As usual, I almost eat the whole item before taking a picture, so enjoy a half eaten sandwich on me, lol I'm a Texan by birth, and I can honestly say this is the best Texas BBQ in the Hampton Roads area! There are a few others that have great BBQ, but this place, in one bite and aroma, took me back to my Texas roots. Not only was the food amazing, but their whole establishment, you can smell the smoking pit, which, in my opinion, made it even harder to leave this establishment. The taste, a light but completely through and through smokey flavor. It absolutely didn't need a sauce to top it off. However, I had to try one, so i picked the Blackcherry Chipotle, and it was amazing! Great find and a great way to continue my workday with smokey goodness that is just divine!"

"I saw this place one day tucked off in the corner and googled it and say it was BBQ so I had to take a little trip and see what it was about and let me say the food is great from the wings that are smoked then dropped when ordered into hot grease to crisp the skin to the Briskets and pulled pork thay so tender and fall apart just touching it fries are fresh and crunchy the service is amazing I even watch several get turned away because they sell out quick so this place is definitely a place you need to come to I tried a little bit of everything I could and it was all amazing will be back for that Beef rib. But a must try again"
